Al Moudira Hotel in Luxor

We have stayed in lots of outstanding hotels around the world over the last 30+ years but would say that this is definitely in our top 3. It’s an absolute oasis of calm and tranquility with generous and warm service from the outstanding staff. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a really comfortable bed, a nice shower/bath and great amenities. Food options were all excellent and the swimming pool area was well tended and managed. The attention to detail around the grounds in terms of the furniture, sitting areas, decor and atmosphere was of the highest calibre. A beautifully curated package. Would thoroughly recommend. They arranged some expeditions for us and these were also exemplary.

Utterly magical. One of the most special hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every touch was exquisite, every corner was beautiful. The restaurants were all lovely with thoughtful service. A highlight was visiting the farm - ostriches, buffalo, deer - and feeding the camels! We enjoyed every minute and never wanted to leave.

Having spent 3 days in Cairo this is an outstanding oasis of calm and recuperation. The rooms are beautifully proportioned with huge bathrooms and aircon. Multiple outside and inside areas, fantastic pool and gardens with a farm attached. Food delicious and everywhere the glorious Egyptian welcome.

The dinner menu is small, but it changes every night to keep things interesting! I really like that. The food is delicious, and the whole atmosphere is wonderful.

This hotel is a gem. Small enough to feel very exclusive, but big enough to have all the facilities you need. We arrived in Luxor on the Oberoi Zehra Nile cruise, which was outstanding in every way. The hotel is 30 minutes from Luxor in a pretty area of countryside. The buildings are very attractive and the suites are dotted around the pretty grounds. Everywhere you look is another photo opportunity with lovely seating areas and fountains. Unfortunately I caught a severe case of bronchitis somewhere on the journey, so I had to stay in the suite for five days, which was a huge shame. However, the hotel has an excellent clinic staffed with doctors who visited twice a day with appropriate medication. By the end of our stay I could venture out to enjoy the pleasures of the hotel. In our opinion the hotel is an excellent place to stay in Luxor as it is away from the town, which is not very pretty. It is an elegant, unusually attractive place where you experience old Cairo with excellent modern facilities. We are considering going again in October to get the full experience I missed out on due my illness. Go, you will not be disappointed.

Quaint boutique property which is lovely and has great food and service. Lots of adds ons such as a wellness coach and a farm to table restaurant from spain made it very special

The hotel was great, and staying here felt very reassuring. The service was also good, and there were two shuttle buses a day to the Luxor Hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I want to live at this hotel - everything is special and thoughtfully placed. Wish I’d had more time - don’t sleep on the food here either, this one probably the best meal I had in Egypt. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and good - amazing place.
