Pavillon Winter Luxor in Luxor

The hotel photos on Trip.com really don't do it justice; the garden is absolutely beautiful, and the pool is great too. Breakfast starts at 5:30 AM and can even be packed to go, so you don't have to worry about missing out on breakfast if you're heading out for a hot air balloon ride.

This is a legendary hotel with a century of history! After visiting its historic corridors, you'll be amazed by its exquisite elegance and the classical beauty it exudes everywhere. Even though we stayed in the winter hotel in the side wing, sharing the beautiful views and the century-old service, this is truly the most worthwhile hotel to stay at in Luxor!

The hotel environment is beautiful, and it only takes about 7 minutes to walk to Luxor Temple from the hotel, which is very convenient. The breakfast was decent, but unfortunately, there was no meat. The swimming pool also closed at sunset, which was a bit early. They provided an extra bed for our child free of charge, and we gave a small tip. We didn't bring our travel adapter, and the front desk was very friendly and lent us one.

Staying at the Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor Pavilion is like stepping into a century-old dream along the Nile. The French vintage style is elegant and warm, with spacious, quiet rooms. Opening the window reveals lush gardens and the meandering river, where the sunset casts a golden glow and a gentle evening breeze sets a perfect ambiance. The hotel's gardens are serene and tasteful, filled with fragrant plants, and the pool is tranquil – every corner exudes timeless beauty. The service is gentle, attentive, and meticulous. Breakfast is abundant and delicious, offering both a sense of occasion and comfort. The location is excellent, close to Luxor Temple, providing a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. Falling asleep to the sounds of the Nile and waking up to the morning light and river views, where a century of elegance meets millennia of civilization – it's a truly healing and unforgettable stay, worth savoring repeatedly.

Stayed two nights at this hotel, sharing the garden and pool with the Sofitel Winter Palace, which was built in 1886. Absolutely amazing value for money, at just one-third the price of the Winter Palace. This morning, I was out walking in the garden around 6 AM, and it was just me and the busy gardeners – not a single tourist. I truly had the gardens all to myself. The hotel is located right across from the most beautiful stretch of the Nile River, and just beyond the river is the hot air balloon base near the Valley of the Kings. I was really looking forward to seeing dozens of hot air balloons ascend, but apparently, all flights were canceled today because Trump's children are in town. The street in front of the hotel has also been closed off since yesterday.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a five-minute walk to Luxor Temple, and the Luxor Souk and McDonald's are also very close by. Plus, it's only a stone's throw from where you can catch a felucca. The atmosphere is great, and the breakfast is generous. Highly recommend!

I stayed with my parents, three adults in total. When booking, the page stated the room had two 0.8m beds and could accommodate three people, with an extra bed costing more. However, upon arrival, an extra bed had already been added to the room at no additional charge. It was a proper mattress, not a sofa bed, just a bit lower, and quite comfortable.

The hotel breakfast was mostly cold, except for hot eggs and one type of hot pancake. You could request hot milk, and the staff were very friendly. Personally, even for cold items, I felt the overall variety was too limited. About 70% were different types of bread, 10% different cheeses, and 20% salads, fruits, and other items.

The garden environment was absolutely stunning, but the facilities were a bit old, though still functional. The cleanliness was a bit rough around the edges, typical of some international standards; surfaces seemed clean, but I'd recommend either re-cleaning detailed spots yourself or avoiding touching them. Even the toilet, despite appearing clean in detail, I'd still prefer to use a cover.

We had an issue with a missing item in the room. My English isn't great, and after a difficult phone call for 40 minutes with no resolution, I went to the front desk. The issue was resolved within about 10 minutes there.

Compared to hotels in China, the value for money isn't great. However, for Luxor, it seems even four or five-star hotels are like this, so others would likely be even worse. It's mainly due to local conditions.

Every staff member was very friendly. The breakfast was plentiful, and the breakfast boxes for takeaway were also great. The Christmas season atmosphere was strong, with Christmas stockings and candies left on the bed. A really nice hotel.

The hotel's location is great; you can catch a boat just across the street, and it's only a few hundred meters walk to the temple. The hotel's internal landscaping is very well done, and the garden is beautiful. The downsides are that the facilities are very old, it didn't feel very clean, the breakfast selection was quite limited, and there wasn't much in the way of service. Overall, I don't think it offers good value for money, and I wouldn't choose to stay here again if I were to return.
