Jewels Sahara Boutique Resort in Hurghada

I have recently stay with my friend at this hotel for 2 weeks. What can I say?
We had the best time ever. We laughed so much. We had constant giggles. Too many staff to mention by name but they were all so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Even went out of their way to help. The only thing I could say as a negative is the food wasn't to our liking but the staff and especially the chef went out of their way to make us something special which we really enjoyed. We spent the whole time at the beach and most afternoons at the beach bar. We were made to feel very welcome and we didn't want to leave. So everyone from the reception, the restaurant and the beach bar, not forgetting the animation team I would like to say a big thank you to you all for making our holiday one to remember. having read some dodgy reports from Trip Advisor we were a little concerned.. however.. we could not have had a better time. We returned on 13 April 2017 after 11 nights. The staff were amazing, they could not have been more lovely or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, I had my two teenage sons with me and the animation team were awesome getting them involved with activities. The food was good and well cooked, and the drinks (that trip advisor said were awful, well..we had some very good days and nights!) We will definately be going back.. great place. I was from 24.03.20 - 09.03.20 in the Jewels Sahara Boutique Hotel and it was a real great time there. After I've read so many bad comments about these hotel - I've had no mood to start my travel to Hutrghada. May I should tell you - I was living in Hurghada for around 5 years - so I know the cultur, the tradition and also the hotels and I've learned a bit the egyptian language ( english I'm speaking fluently). I was working in several hotels there and I know whats doable and whats utopian. My stay in the hotel was very nice and restful!!! If you book lowclass - you shouldnt expect highclass! Never I've got a experience - that wishes and suggestions from me or other guests get so fast true - its not normal for Egyptian mentality ;)
The hotel is one of the oldest in that place - BUT its a real treasure! The facillity you can find not in any other hotel. Ok - from the beach to the lobby its a mountain to climb - but inbetween the arrangment and style its so beautiful. Sometimes I was sitting for more than 2 hours in the restaurant to enjoy the view and style. The kindlyness and help from the ALL staff there --> you'll not find it in any other hotel in Hurghada!! Many THANKS to all them - you've mada my holiday perfect!
The hotel it's round about 15 min from the airport. Very quiet - but directly conected to the Hurghada City Center - for shopping - if you dont wanna leave the area. Dahar (downtown) you can reach after 20 min walking. Sakalla ( new city) - around 15 min by Taxi (costs 30LE) If I would compare the neighbor hotel Hilton Plaza with the small old hotel - I would always prefer the Jewel Sahara.
In the net you'll find an offer for superior rooms - but they havent really superior. For me it wasnt so importtant!!! The bathroom is big with shower, WC, Bidet, water heater, hair dryer. Every day freh towels, WC-paper and cleaning. Certainly it wasnt perfect - it cant be by this low price. In some corners the seams are black - some guest get disturbed from that - for me it was ok. The beds are hard and I've slept better than in my home :) Furniture you'll find enough for your stuff. No german TV at all but Russian and English channels are there. Air condition is settle from 15-30 degrees. If you want you vcan get 2 bottles of mineral water every day from the house keeping. The cleaning every day was very good and quiet :)
It doesnt matter in which area you are - EVERYBODY from the staff is polite and helpful - around the clock 24h. Not obtrusive and very careful. "problems" are fast resolved - if it was doable. Advises and wishes from my site get implemented - and I was really happy to see that because in the time a I was living and working there noone take care about what I've said. On the beach you'll not find any sales person!!! Its forbidden from the general manager! The guest are there for recovery and not to get disturbed from sales person. And the GM is checking that every day he is really strict. 100x thumb up!
The hotel has one main rstaurant in the middle from the area. Every lunch and dinner they've offered Grilled meat or fish. So I#ve found always something to eat ;) Salad buffett and fresh cutted vegtables you can find every dinner. About bred I will not write anything - just enjoy the egyptian bred - its the best on the buffett :)))) Scrambled eggs in the morning was grilled outside - so we'vent got the smell of oil in the restaurant - very good!!!! Every midday - we've gor offered pizza on the beach with different filling - just decide what you want and you'll get it ;) Drinks and Alkohol is offerd 24/7.

Lovely hotel not many British people mainly russians..the staff are really pleasant and can't do enough for you. I could have died for a pork chop. But they don't eat pork in their religion.

Friendly and helpful staff, good food, nice, but rather small beach, some rooms run down, so try to book the room with sea view, they are newly furnished and renovated. We asked for better room and were transferred immediately.

Nice place, very very nice staff, however it’s old equipped.
