We had a 3 night stay here when visiting Helsinki for the Ed Sheeran concert. The hotel is Ina great location, just a short stroll to the Esplanade,Senate Square and the port where the boat trips depart from. The rooms are a decent size, ours overlooked the courtyard, and we had a wonderfully comfortable superior sized bed. The “bathroom” was small having only a shower rather than a bath and it was somewhat dated - but perfectly fit for use. Breakfast was great with a wide range of foods for all tastes - my only disappointment was that the coffee wasn’t great but there are several good coffee shops within a short walk of the hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the service. All the staff were really helpful but Elena stood head and shoulders above them all - she was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for her.

I stayed 7 nights at the Rivoli Jardin. I liked the location. Coming out the front entrance, 5 minutes to your left is the Esplanade, a lovely park to sit in, and watch Helsinki go by. If you go 3 minutes to your right, you are at the S-Mart, which is a great market open till 11 PM. If you continue past the market another 6-7 minutes, there is a wonderful park on a hill, very green & shady, with many benches. The hotel is also an easy, leisurely 10-15 minute walk to the train station. There, for 4.10 euros, you can get the train to the airport. The trains to the airport go about every 10 minutes, and the ride is about 35 minutes. Beware that you must buy the ticket from an automated machine, and there are not many at the train station. It is very confusing, and not well-marked, so I suggest allowing plenty of extra time. The hotel lobby has apples, store bought cookies, and a pastry, gratis, for their guests - this, I thought, was a nice touch. I stayed in the apartments, which are adjacent to the hotel. The accommodations were fine, but the apartments don’t have housekeeping service. For me that’s not an issue, but it would be for some. I did not find the folk at reception very cheerful. In the week I was there, I was never greeted, and smiles were non-existent. Overall, this property is a solid choice, with a prime location, and for Helsinki, a good value.

Nice hotel situated really close to Esplanadi. We made the reservation straight on their site as we where getting a fall discount and we also received on our check in a coupon for a discount on drinks purchased from their bar in the lobby. The room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing extraordinary but wasn't missing anything either. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

You always feel welcomed in this hotel, as it has a unique atmosphere of a family business. Always friendly and helpful staff, cosy rooms, tasty Nordic breakfast. The outdoors terrace gives you some private space to sit outside and enjoy Finland's long summer nights. Being situated in the very city centre of Helsinki, it is a wonderful location to walk to the main attractions, harbour or business entities situated in the centre.

A bathroom would need a little repairs (expecially shower) otherwise everything was great.

A nice little hotel on a very good mid downtown location. Rivoli Jardin has a nice atmosphere a bit on the bohemian side. Cosy room (big plus for the sofa) and excellent breakfast. I would imagine the inner court yard would be a perfect place to hang out with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on summer time.
