A very nice clean room. Comfy bed and a great breakfast. Fairly central location, maybe 5 min walk away.

Breakfast was very nice and varied. Only thing missing was korvapuusti, which would be a nice treat in a Finnish hotel

Beautiful room and well equipped for a few days exploring Helsinki. Great vibe and staff so very friendly. Breakfast you book a slot which im not a fan off, but space is limited so I can see why, the variety was just okay, was fresh and the porridge the best I have had.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are well appointed and a generous size. Staff are very helpful and efficient. The breakfast was wonderful. Nice area that has a cosy feel to have a drink. Would highly recommend

Very close to the main station and the center. The room was nice and spacious, but more importantly the service was amazing. Everyone from the reception was super helpful and always kind. In my opinion, this makes the difference between a nice and a great experience.

I stayed for 5 nights and liked the location of this hotel. It’s within walking distance of a lot of touristy things to do and a grocery store to stock up on basic necessities. The bed was comfortable and you’re able to watch Netflix on the TV. The staff are very nice and helpful. I wanted to love this hotel because the staff are phenomenal and so kind but a few things kept this from being a 5 star experience. My room was very dusty especially in the corners and the tile flooring seemed to need a good mopping. There were drain flies in my bathroom and the drain under the sink would regularly overflow with soap bubbles. The windows also need to be opened by the reception staff which is inconvenient for everyone. Breakfast is mostly cold items and could be improved by adding a few more hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. The only hot item was the baked omelette.

Hotel Fabian is a very lovely, smaller hotel. The location is slightly inconvenient, as there is no public transportation directly to the hotel, but the area itself is nice. The rooms are well-designed and quite beautiful. The breakfast is unique, and their porridge is superb!

I’m giving a 5-star rating because I don’t want to harm the business with a lower score, but I feel it’s important to share some detailed feedback. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with many positives. I opted for the most spacious room, which featured a well-equipped kitchenette and a very comfortable bed. However, the close proximity to the building across the street results in a lack of privacy, so they keep the curtains closed even during the day, likely to avoid disappointing guests with the view. This was a bit of a letdown since I prefer natural light.

Another area for improvement is the TV, which offers very few international channels, limiting entertainment options for non-local guests. The bathroom, while aesthetically pleasing, had a significant issue with the shower. The showerhead isn’t stable due to the overly stiff hose, which causes the water to spray directly onto the wall instead of where it’s needed. This made showering a bit frustrating. Additionally, the toilet’s flushing system requires two or three attempts for a complete flush, which is inconvenient.

One of the most frequently mentioned drawbacks in reviews is the breakfast, and I have to agree with the consensus. Despite the hotel’s effort to manage the flow of guests by distributing breakfast tickets at check-in, the dining area is simply too small to accommodate everyone comfortably. This leads to a crowded and rushed experience. Moreover, the quality and variety of the breakfast offerings are not on par with what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. The management often replies to reviews stating they are working to improve the breakfast situation, but from what I observed, little has changed. The disappointment is quite visible on the faces of other guests as well, which further detracts from the overall experience.

That said, the service throughout the hotel was very good, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location is another major plus—situated in a prime area, it’s easy to explore the city from here. Despite the few drawbacks I’ve mentioned, I would still choose to stay here again without hesitation. However, next time I will definitely skip the breakfast option, as there are numerous cafés and restaurants nearby offering better alternatives. Plus, with a supermarket just a short walk away, it’s easy to stock up on essentials for your kitchenette, making breakfast in your room a convenient and pleasant option. 😉

Very nice and classy hotel. Well situated in the heart of Helsinki. Calm and clean. Excellent copious breakfast. Personnel is helpful. I recommend !
