It's a nice hotel. Price is quite high, if there is some happening taking place. Staff is friendly and breakfast is typical for a Finnish hotel and very good. There is like smoked salmon, fresh bread, bacon, some cake et.c.
Location is worth every cent if you spend a long day at an exhibition next door.

The location is not central, but close to the railway station. The rooms are ok, staff does not speak swedish. The breakfast is rather poor in terms of selection but also taste. It might be the Finnish way of cooking that the food is rather watered down and insipid.

Holiday Inn Helsinki A Surprise Gem on My European Adventure!

Wow, what a ride! After my plans to tour Russia fell through (note to self: always sort out your visa before hitting the border), I found myself with an unexpected detour and thank goodness for that! I landed in Finland and checked into the Holiday Inn Helsinki the night before my departure on the massive Finnlines ship bound for Estonia. And let me tell you… this hotel turned my travel hiccup into a highlight!

From the moment I stepped in, I felt at home. I became instantly hooked not on the tech (though the place is modern and sleek), but on the coffee and tea in the room. I don’t remember the brand, but wow… I drank every last drop. It was that good.
The location? Perfect. I spent the evening wandering Helsinki, and everything was within reach museums, parks, shops, you name it. I met the most stunning woman a blonde with big, kind eyes working the front desk. She wasn’t just beautiful, she was incredibly helpful.

She answered all my questions with patience and warmth, even helped me book my ferry with Finnlines (which wasn’t even part of her job!). And when I had a run-in with some local police who were giving me a hard time, she handled it with grace and calm. Truly, a five-star receptionist in a five-star hotel.

Breakfast the next morning was a dream a full buffet spread with guests from all over the world. The energy was vibrant, the food delicious, and the vibe unforgettable.

Good location for our purposes but not near the city center. Food service guest friendly as far as service times. Rooms larger than most European hotels I have experienced. Staff OK.
