A rather disappointing stay! The welcome was good. Our room was small and there was no fridge (this will be a question asked before booking any hotel in future!) The air conditioning unit was blowing cold air and we were told that it would change to warm air during October. However, we were given a heater and the system was changed to warm after a couple of days.
The bar was only open once during our 5 night stay which was very disappointing as we had thought to eat in there rather than the restaurant. We were told there weren't enough staff to have it open. The restaurant was closed on a couple of occasions and when we ate there on one evening, there were 4 staff in there - perhaps they could have trained one up to serve in the bar? There was no lounge for guests, only the rather draughty entrance lobby, so finding a quiet corner during a couple of rainy days was difficult.
There was a polite notice in the bathroom asking us to be aware of the need not to waste water - however, the hot water took at least 5 minutes to come through, wasting a lot of water in the process!
Waiting times for the lists was challenging during the morning as housekeeping had to use the same lifts. Normally there would be a service lift for them?
The hotel was clean and sanitary measures in place during these challenging times.

it was a pretty good experience the staff where nice they could speak English the rom was not bad for the price the rooms where clean and so where the sheets the bathroom was a bit small but in all a great experience

Very friendly staff who helped with every request. The hotel was great value for a triple room and unlike other reviews on here the room was big. Bathroom clean but the room itself wasn’t as clean with a very dusty door and a piece of chewing gum on the carpet. The bed had an exposed spring in the mattress and ripped sheets. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid noise from the busy road at the front of the hotel. Work ongoing until November but I’d didn’t hear or see it.

Location is nearby train/bus station and 10 minutes walk to Old Town/ Downtown.

We stayed here for three nights and explored the town and nearby mt. veyrier. Its a good location to walk from sncf train station and to and from the gorgeous centerville along the beautiful river. The neighborhood is less touristique and therefore you can find cheaper restaurants nearby. The turkish grocery story next door has a huge olive bar and great traditional sweets. The hotel was quiet and even though there were works going on it was not disturbing. We stayed in one of the new basic rooms. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small as is normal in this part of the world. Toilet is separate from shower / sink.
We paid 11€/per person for an hour in the spa. There are two rooms, one with three single tubs and one with a larger tub and a single (the single tubs are big enough for a couple to share). The hammam was just a tile room...not sure it gets used much. The sauna is large and very nice.
Aurelie was very patient and helped us utilise our BW travel cards which was a bit time consuming and she was very kind throughout the process.

Great price, great location. Very easy to walk to the train station, and then into the old town. For the money this is a good hotel. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean, and made up well although the sheet did not fit the bed. It was quiet at night.
We did go to the spa, which is bigger than expected, but gets quite dirty by the end of the day. The sauna is great, big enough for 4/6 people. There are 3 x 2 person hot tubs, and 2 x 4 person hot tubs.
