I had a very pleasant stay in this Novotel. If there is anything to improve, I hope they could prepare a better breakfast with variety.

Stayed one night in our way from Paris to Alpe Duez . Hotel was very close walk from the Eurostar station . Restaurant onsite was handy for dinner and breakfast . Hotel was clean , reasonably priced and perfect for what we needed .

Handy if you want to be next to the train station and have a quiet night. Impersonal/unfriendly but quiet and convenient. This hotel falls way short of my expectations for a Novotel. I have stayed in better Ibis hotels  than this.

The breakfast is perfect, extraordinary. The dinner staff is friendly. Malek is specially professional, kind. I will come back later!

Stay at the Novotel regularly. Although going through a renovation. The new resturant is great. Malek is a great help and nothing is too much trouble.

I've stayed here many times over the years and I was recently disappointed with the "upgraded" rooms. They removed all of the desks (now there is a free standing table not even big enough for a laptop). I will continue to stay there due to the great location next to the train station, but I will wait until the renovations are complete.

Hotel had a really nice staff, and good breakfast options. Negative: my room was a bit too warm, AC was not working properly.

Short walk to city center. Parking on property is too small for most cars, but there is public parking a few blocks away.

Our stay at the Mercure was amazing. From checking in to check-out all staff were very polite, had a smile and made welcome during out stay. Bar is a bit expensive, though the restaurant was worth it the two times we went. It is a shame both are closed at the weekend. Rooms were clean, comfortable and serviced every day. Didn't hear any noise from fellow guests. Handy USB sockets next to the bed...

I’m not sure how this hotel got a 4* rating. Didn’t feel clean, aircon broke (looking at reviews since at least 2023), no door look out hole, cheaply painted and wall papered rooms felt like a hostel. Walking into reception looked nice but as soon as you used the stairs to get to room it looked like a block of flats. Requires refurb.

Very nice hotel, not far from old town (10min). Small but clean rooms with comfortable beds. Other than very parfumed soap ( not great for people sensitive to smells) no other amenities in the bathroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Restaurant was ok for dinner, we were not that happy with dinner food.

This was a full-service hotel with many excellent features. Food was excellent. Service was superb. Very helpful staff eager to please. Very clean, luxurious, and well maintained grounds. The rooms were very clean and upkeep was as expected for a five-star hotel. Excellent place to stay while in Grenoble.

Great design and spacious rooms. The 24h club is definitely fantastic. Comprehensive front desk service. Room could be a little more cleaner, especially the corners in the bathroom, otherwise it’s perfect.

The hotel is clean. I took the most expensive room. It was large but not well designed. Still, it was comfortable for the time I was there. It was ~ 7 minutes from the tram I needed. One receptionist was really kind and helpful. The rest were average and did not care much. The room is OK and clean, but it is small, as usual in European style. Breakfast is OK. It is suitable for business trips, with the fountain and the central square next door. It is also convenient for food and restaurants, but I have meetings every day and don't have time to go shopping.

The parking fee is excessive, and definitely avoid the baths, apparently due to a government regulation…

Great hotel in a very good, quiet neighbourhood. We were close to the train station & bus station. The sauna was good & very quiet and overall the hotel seemed to be not much busy. Good location to tourist attractions and main amenities.

Very clean apartment. Fully equipped kitchen. It's great for those on a week or longer stay who want to do some cooking on their own.

Excellent location, in a few minutes walk from the train, bus and tram stations, very friendly and attentive staff, highly recommended!

Reasonably priced and clean. The cost of parking was 20 euro, and you need to park inside if you do not want your glasses broken.

A hotel is in a very center, quiet and good location, very nice staff.

It is a very well located hotel and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel is going through some works so there was a smell of paint that if I'd known I would have chosen a different hotel. The towels available in the bathroom are not enough as they only provide 2 small bath towels in a double room, it should have 2 hand towels as well.

There were no instructions about how to find the reception for the property. I found a sign and a lobby with an elevator... no sign to say reception was upstairs in level 1. There were works (painting I think) being done so dirty and broken papers were spread all over the floor and the lift would regularly be out of order. Staff were not very friendly, I waited for them to finish their conversation...

Pretty decent hotel, however light in rooms didn't meet my expectations. No Iron for clothes in the room but upon discussing with receptionist, received one. Interestingly there was no wifi and they just said we are sorry, our wifi is not working. Location is great. overall recommend.

Just stayed there for one night. A very old hotel, good location at the city centre, my room was facing the street so did hear some noise outside. Overall was alright

A big enough room and quit one. The shower is quite claustrophobic)) but everyhing needed was present and clean. For sure to save for the next trip to Grenoble.

I rate Hôtel d'Angleterre Grenoble Centre a “5”, not because it is a “great” hotel, but because it is very good - and a very good value for the dollar (Euro). It’s a little old and tired, but it’s perfectly functional and clean. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient. You get what you pay for and this hotel may actually be underpriced. I don’t think you can find a better location...

We stayed there for one night. We checked in at 2am. They were very friendly, the system didnt work but it was all good. We got our room - the room was cute. The parking was also easy to manage.

Rooms on a good size, everything was very clean, sheets almost new and bed very comfortable, AC worked perfectly. Bathroom a bit small but worked perfectly, comfortable. Perfectly located, very close to a parking at a very reasonable price (the hotel has discount there). The best thing about this hotel is breakfast and location. The service was kind and polite. Apart from that, the building and rooms are pretty old and worn, there were some amenities falling apart. It wasn't super clean either. My room wasn't too quiet, you could hear the neighbors, especially when someone in a nearby room was taking a shower. There are better hotels in Grenoble for similar price.

Comfortable large room overlooking Place Hugo, well located close to tram and city centre. Friendly helpful staff. It seems 3 floors are renovated and the remainder is in progress. Only downside is lack of fridge and coffee making equip.

The series is warm and welcoming, but the building is kinda old and breakfast is quite simple. Anyway it's acceptable with such nice service.

Family trip to visit Grenoble and ski at Chamrousse. Very well located to arrive by TGV and take the bus to Chamrousse. Clean, small and comfortable room. Breakfast very good, specially if you want to save time to reach the bus or train station.

Overall good experience, great location, 3-4 mins walk from the train station and buses to the ski resorts; except the hotel should really look at customers request carefully, we booked 2 single beds, but the beds were not separated in the first night. And they said they will separate our beds in the following morning, but it didn’t happened when we returned.

This place was just OK. I know I'm in Europe, and I know I'm in an old part of France, but the room was so tiny. I could hardly move around. I mean, you know the place is small when you can't even move your legs to the front of the toilet because you're so close to the wall. The shower was super small, too. Perfect for a quick trip via the train I come to Grenoble from time to time for business. The location is a quick and convenient walk from the train station. Breakfast is correct. There is also a little grocery store nearby. The staff are friendly.

This hotel is located 5 minutes walk from Grenoble SNCF station. Correct welcome. The rooms are very poorly heated, which makes the stay less pleasant than it could have been. Breakfast corresponding to brand standards. The story telling of the mountain is much more visible at reception and the common areas than in the rooms. Too noisy due to the proximity of the TRAM, does not comply with handicap standards, particularly at the level of the sink which does not allow the passage of an electric chair for a toilet in the laboratory especially since it does not have any shower seat.

I lived in Adagio for over a year and I loved the experience. The apartment was well furnished and clean, the staff was very friendly and cooperative, and the location was great with close proximity to the tram station providing easy access to the city center.

I chose the hotel based mostly on location, but also as Best Western has a good reputation and the price was fairly reasonable. It was easy to park nearby in a public garage and a decent walk to all the sights. The room was, however, minuscule, and the shower almost flooded the bathroom. It should probably get two stars but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Handy underground car parking (entrance is a side lane just before the hotel) and good value but the spaces are very tight. Staff friendly and very helpful. Excellent price for what you get. The staff is extremely kind and available to help. I stayed in a two bedroom studio with my family. The kitchen was well equipped. It's very close to the city centre (10 minute walk). I suggest it for long stays as well.

First I would like to say how wonderful the reception staff were especially Valérie, Théo and Jérémy. We stayed in suite 314 and really enjoyed the reversible AC units that allowed us to be comfortable especially since the balcony windows only had single glazing. The room cleaning was perfect. The Hotel Needs Better Maintenance Despite The room was clean and the housekeeper did a good job, but the overall condition shows that it needs more attention. The walls are scratched and the room could really use a refresh to justify its price. The lift is also very old and almost dirty. The hotel needs to take better care of its facilities.

From check in with Valerie who was more than helpful and friendly, we had a great experience. Room was beautiful with everything you could need. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Overall i would highly recommend this hotel and will return again.

Very good hotel at a competitive price. Restaurant is OK, nothing fancy, but perfect for those with an appetite. Hotel location is on the edge of town opposite a large indoor shopping complex. You will need to take a tram to the town center for nightlife.

The rooms are nice and spacious. It is located perfectly if you are attending a conference at the Alpexo centre. The restaurant here serves a good selection of pizzas, perfect for a low key evening meal. Some of the hotel does feel a bit dated but all in all it is a very comfortable place to stay.
