Les Portes d'Or in Nancy

This hotel is old and decrepit. Bathroom does not even have a hook to hang the handheld shower in the bathtub. Mold behind the taps. Not sure when the blanket on the bed was last washed. WiFi is really bad. Elevator out of order…..great when they give you the third floor to lug your suitcase up! Really nothing to recommend about this hotel.

Great location but….. couldn’t have our room til 5 pm had to leave by 10.30am Room on the 5 th floor ,no lift, vertiginous staircase our modest suitcase stuck No soap/ shampoo etc Tried to over charge us had to find our booking to prove Could have been so much better

I give one star, because I can’t give less. Terrible experience! I arrived and that sign was in the door. I had no signal in France, so I asked for help to a girl who was passing by, she called the number and the person who answered said that was coming soon, I spent 45 minutes there and no one came. The people from the restaurant next door helped me to call again and this time nobody answered. I had to pay for another hotel.

This place still operates??? Do NOT stay here. We made a reservation, they changed it, increased the price, demanded cash up front, yelled at us. We left and I cancelled my credit card. Horrible horrible horrible.

WIFI IS 6 EUROS EXTRA.

BreakFast also 6 EUROS EXTRA for powder cofee and a croissant at least one day old.

after looking at the room I asked for a room change and they said it was imposible, i asked for my money back but they refused.

Cold during the night, and when the people of the pub next door, are kicked out, they make noise on the street for around an hour(around 2:00 am).

The shower was broken and extremly uncofortable.

One of the walls was in bad shape.

No heat, no hot water (in November!) and there was a 5€ an hour fee for the "free Wifi". A terrible experience barely redeemed by the location of the hotel. Absolutely unacceptable.

I Would you like to swear, but only write down the facts, so relieved.
No hot water, terrible and tiny bathroom with no soap, crackling and small bed, smelly and stale, smoke smell greeted us.
That look is not surprised that they are stupid and only French TV stations offer because you are proud of these cattle by the French, but I knew what the hell.
There is a thick blanket, in the beginning of April even at very low temperatures, and even the windows were wide open when we arrived, so they took the smoking walls, so they wanted to ease the stink. Failed.

Never, no one should have to go anywhere near this place.
