Nice hotel, excellent staff and nice location. The rooms are a bit small for a mercure brand and the breakfast was a complete let down. The breakfast was not a full spread, very limited. They have a good parking that is underground and is common to both Ibis and mercure.

The lobby is very modern and pleasant. All the staff, from the front desk agents, to the breakfast staff to housekeeping was very friendly and professional. Especially at the front desk the staff is very polite and friendly and speak an excellent English. The location of the hotel is perfect, in walking distance to both abbeys and the Caen castle, as well to many restaurants, bars and even a supermarket...

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel’s location is in the city center, convenient to many dining options. It is located across from the canal and if your window faces the canal, you will have a pretty view. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

i visited the hotel for one night during my stay in Caen beginning of April 25. the hotel is well located near the touristic area in Caen. other than that there is no more advantage the hotel is providing to it s guests. this hotel is a 4 star hotel, however maybe this is my first time to stay in a 4 star hotel in which its rooms don't have phones so i couldn't call the reception to ask for anything...

Room was comfortable during my stay, and I'm glad I stayed here because it was within a short distance of the historic churches in town. Will definitely stay here again next time.

I had a good time at Novotel. Needed a place with ac because of the heatwave, they also have a small pool. I take a couple points off for saying they have room service (they didn't have room service for any time other than breakfast) and minibar (empty fridge). The location is in Caen, but doesn't have a view of anything. It was a bit pricey too. But the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We visited with a large performance group and this hotel was perfect for us. The attentiveness of the staff, organization of the room keys for our group, grassy area and pool for our participants, and the wonderful breakfast and group dinners were appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and would come again!

The hotel is very good, the services are excellent.  The swimming pool is warm and nice.  If there is a gym room, it will be perfect.  Really enjoy and relax.

Children loved the pool. Breakfast was great. Small room, no cleaning at all during our 3 day stay. Limited food service during lunch and a nice barbecue at dinner. Location is a bit of, you preferably need a car.

The room was quite small, with very little unpacking space (no drawers), so we largely lived out of our suitcases for the three days we were there. We came back in the middle of the first day to find the doors were locked: a sign on the door told us that access was via reception of the hotel next door. The hygiene and facilities are so-so, so I didn't take pictures of the room. The price is not expensive in Europe, but it is not low in this small city. The service awareness of the front desk staff is very poor, far inferior to that of the catering staff. If you come to Caen, I recommend everyone to eat Caen tripe and Normandy ice cream. It's very good.

It's conveniently located near the station, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is included, making the price economical. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, offering a wide range of menu options. The staff are also friendly.

A 5-minute walk from the train station. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Nice natural light.  There are many local attractions close by. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. There are shops in the area that seem to be frequented by local people; they are not necessarily tourist oriented places with junky souvenirs.  10/10 would recommend.

My sisters and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights. We came from California to visit the famous place of St. Thérèse (or Saint Thérèse). We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff treated us with kindness and were super helpful. They were not annoyed with our endless questions and requests. We liked their buffet spread. We highly recommend this hotel. Very nice room, upscale welcome ... Small downsides: the finish of the passageways and staircase leaves something to be desired, worthy of a star ... The TV connection is poor, 3 channels out of 20! In this case we make a commercial gesture! No ?

The hotel is very big, but the air conditioning is very hot and almost non-existent. The front desk was willing to give me an extra fan, which solved the problem, but the restroom is still very hot. There are no cars at Disneyland after 12 o'clock at night, and there is no one on the street. It's scary.

This is a delightful hotel perfectly situation in Caen Center within walking distances to everything!! The huge castle, the abbey's, so many restaurants etc. Our room was comfortable, very clean and had a unique design. The Reception staff is so helpful and kind. Definitely try it!!

We were part of a coach tour, staying for 5 nights at the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, the room was on the second floor with a velux window and slopping ceiling, so care was advisable walking around. The room was a fairly good size and the bathroom and shower were satisfactory. The beds were made daily and towels were changed. A very comfortable attic room, wonderful fluffy pillows, very clean. Warm at night. Food basic but ok. Breakfasts lovely. Lots on offer. I felt that the staff were a bit distant and not very welcoming. This was a pity. I still enjoyed my stay.

Nice Ambience with good customer satisfaction

Quiet. Very close to the World War II Museum in Caen. Free parking at the hotel. About 10 minutes drive to the city center. Roadside parking in Caen is very cheap at night. You can park all night at 0.3 euros. It is also close to Bayeux and about 1 hour to Utah Beach.

Enjoyed staying at the hotel which never let me down as a brand of Best Western, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and nice. The only issue was the shower did not has its enclosure so the floor of the toilet could be wet and slippery that can create health and safety concerns.

Hotel and pleasant staff reserved for the swimming pool, but closed until April and nothing indicated on the site.

We appreciated coffee in our room. We didn’t do the breakfast because it was just going to be too much food for us. We did order some food in the bar and I would say that could be upgraded. Just bringing us an entrée that was in a jar and warmed up was not very good. Maybe add some soups to the menu.

The hotel was lovely, breakfast was good, but the staff are really what put it over the top. My Mom's luggage was not on the plane and they called Air France for her and worked to get it delivered to us. I could not recommend the property more highly.

The staff were so friendly. We didn’t catch the name of the blonde woman on reception but she was so lovely and really helpful and also makes a great cocktail! We absolutely loved our stay, we had a jacuzzi in our room which was well worth the extra £12

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room was clean. We stayed in a comfort double that was small a little inconvenient. Side table too small to set a book or personal items and very little storage space. Staff did bring us a second suitcase stand when we requested it and it was very appreciated.

The facilities are basic, but the location is great, very close to the highway. The service was decent. The free parking is a huge plus, especially for France. There's only one restaurant nearby, so I'd recommend driving to the city center for food options. Also, parking is free after 7 PM.

The chateau is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The lady that checked us in was superb! Sadly I can’t recall her name. The large bathtub was great and the spacious room was very comfortable. We weren’t there long enough to try the spa service. But I would love to go back here and stay a couple nights. We just stayed here for one night, and I wish we could have extended our stay. We are traveling with our six children, and the family suite was perfect for us. Spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Ideally located hotel, city center, close to everything. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms are rather simple (even too simple), the tam tam stools as bedside tables are not very practical. No kettle in the rooms, not even on each floor, you have to go down to the hotel lobby to get a coffee (early wake-up call). The bathroom could do with more light and a magnifying mirror.

Nice hotel in a great location. The bathroom was a good size — something that can be hard to find in France. My only critique is that one of the front desk staff, the gentleman with the beard, could improve his customer service skills. That said, I still give this establishment five stars overall.

The room was clean and the staff friendly, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the kettle wasn't clean upon arrival, and two cups were taken away for cleaning and not returned until the next day. It was also very noisy outside at night—many drunk people made sleeping difficult. Overall, the stay was fine, but there is room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness and noise pollution...

It's a bit far from the station, but close to the center. There is a luggage storage room. The zasplerie was very late, after 17:00, the first time I encountered this. The breakfasts are the usual French ones.

The staff are amazing, we were treated very well. Most of the staff had a good command of English too, which really helped. I would stay there again, no problem.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, 10 min away from the town center. The rooms were clean but the wifi was very slow even though it advertised super fast internet, the breakfast was poor and you had to boil the eggs yourself. The breakfast price was expensive for what it is, knowing that children are charged half price. The parking was big and free of charge. Overall, good for a 3 star hotel

Rooms clean and tidy, hotel generally well presented. It advertises high speed WiFi which wasn’t working on our floor. When I raised this with reception, the receptionist just kept repeating the password. I explained it wasn’t a password issue but it fell on deaf ears. It wasn’t resolved and I had to go to a local McDonalds to do some work. There is no facility for an early checkout. We had to leave...

We were only there for two nights but the hotel was very convenient for parking as we visiting the countryside. Staff were very polite and helpful. I do wish the room had a small refrigerator, just for drinks and medication that needed to be kept cool. Other than that, the room was fine.
