Hotel Gudauri Lodge in Gudauri

The room is a bit small. I booked a triple room, but it was a double room with a small bed, so I couldn't turn around at all. However, the other conditions of the hotel are quite good, especially the breakfast is quite rich. It should be considered a good hotel in Gudauri.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff, cleanliness, beautiful, well-thought-out interior. Comfortable room. Wonderful spa for early morning and late evening, a pool with a starry sky, and a large outdoor hot pool with mountain views. Excellent cuisine in the restaurant and a varied breakfast (go to the restaurant veranda and sit at the tables on the left in the morning for another great view). The hotel also offers a variety of tourist activities.
We were very pleased and will be returning with the whole family in the winter and in August.

5 star for facilities, 3 star for service. This lodge has great perks (outdoor Jacuzzi, Sauna, Indoor pool) and this makes it one of the best lodges out in Gudauri. My highlight was using the hot jacuzzi at 9 AM in the morning when it started snowing. The privilege of hot water out in the open was amazing. Breakfast is also decent but live station costs 10 LARI (for e.g Omelette) which came as a surprise to me. A-la-carte menu is well stocked. I especially liked the Shkmeruli in garlic sauce. These perks are from 8 AM - 11 PM.

However, I didn't quite appreciate the service to be honest in general which is why I gave it a low rating. I came during an off season (once the ski season stopped). There were no smiles exchanged at either the reception, restaurant or the house keeping. One would argue that with fewer guests, the quality of service would increase but this instead went downwards. It felt borderline rude as in our country we treat guests with a smile and make sure they feel welcome regardless of it being an off/on season. The only pleasantries we could exchange with were with a middle aged Israeli couple who we met at the pool. Other than that the lodge was pretty much dead in April/May. Our only recourse was to spend the day outside, get back by 6 pm, use the facilities until 10 and then crash to bed.

loved the hot tub but there were technical issues for most of my stay - it wasn’t nearly hot enough. also avoid the restaurant the food and service is horrible. overall the service was good and helped me arrange a snowmobile tour. room and facilities were generally clean, but there’s no AC in the room.

You have to travel to this lodge and Ski. Cheap and worthwhile
