In total it is alright for the price you pay, even though the owner of the hotel was rude (not the husband but the wife),it was hard to communicate with her, she seems to be upset and doesn't smile at all.
The morning I checked out she went upstairs to check the room and came back with the angry face after seeing that the bad sheets were not perfectly clean, she pointed on the durt and mocked me. There is only one socket in the room and not enough light at the evening. Been there in September and it was cold in the rooms, hopefully they heat them up in winter.
Payed 50 gel for the room, it is ok to overnight if there is no other options, but I wouldn't stay here for longer time.

Georgians are often nice when they need something from you, but when you are no longer needed, they show their true face. We had too little cash with us and by the end of the trip we only had 20 Lari left. We needed that for breakfast, which I explicitly told her. She brought us two coffees, and I had 80% of the price and the Rest was for breakfast, and I asked her if that was okay. She snatched my last money out of my hand, so I no longer had enough money for breakfast. Very inhumane.

Located at the upper end of Usghuli in close proximity to Lamaria Church, the accommodation offers the perfect starting point for tours to the Shkhara Glacier. On the way to the glacier you come by at the art museum of the painter Fridon Nizharadze, which you should definitely pay a visit to. Here, old Svaneti symbolism is interwoven with surrealistic motifs.
Likewise, the Ethnographic Museum is just 1 minute away.
The hosts are absolutely fantastic! Anyone who hasn't experienced Svaneti hospitality yet has an opportunity. Be sure to book breakfast for 20 GL - there is a new surprise on the table every day.
Horses can be booked for tours and the nature is breathtaking at 2200 m altitude.
You should take some time with you to let the deceleration of the world take effect on you.
(and also cash - there are no ATMs in Ushguli and you cannot pay by card anywhere).

Very nice place to stay, with great food (dinner) the terrace offers an amazing view to the mountains, also on the end of the village, so very quiet.

Spent one night there, rooms were comfortable and food was good. Went on a horse tour with them the next day which was beautiful although the guide spoke no English. We spent in total more than 300 Lari at the Hotel and when we wanted to leave they hassled us taking a Mashrutka to Mestia through them. After we refused they chased us and stopped our Mashrutka driver on the way resulting in a big clash between the driver and hotel staff. We were able to continue after listening to minutes of yelling at each other, but the sad impression of the behaviour of the hotel staff remains.

Beautiful guesthouse right on the start of the Shkhara trail. Amazing views of the mountains from the common room. Hot showers, friendly family. 10/10 do recommend!

More of a guest house than a hotel Very kind people and the rooms were very clean. The food was above average and different than the standard stuff we had tasted before. We did have a hard time finding the place. Had a nice rest here. Picture is a bit of the alley were the guest house is located
