Where to stay in Akhaltsikhe

It was a nice experience. The hotel room was comfortable. I had a nice time swimming in the pool as well. The food was delicious too.

I haven't written a review for some time but feel it is necessary after tonight's dining experience at this hotel. Given that there are almost no other alternatives for dinner here in Akhaltsikhe we dined in house . Our dinner order was Georgian salad with walnuts - ok but not the best we have had in the past 16 days, Georgian style potato ok basically thick cut potatoes fried in oil. BUT the huge...

It's certainly not a 5-star hotel. The room is very small. It's very cold. There was a very strong, constant unpleasant smell. The spa is a separate, large bonus. That's true. But for such a small town, the hotel is unjustifiably expensive. No view of the fortress.

The room was very small, and it was difficult to turn around. When I woke up the next morning, I found that the bed sheets were stained, like shoe prints, which was disgusting. The room smelled very bad and was uncomfortable to live in. I don't recommend it.

The hotel offers a very unique experience within a castle setting. The rooms are like those in a guesthouse in China, but clean and hygienic. The hotel's spa is also fantastic! 👍

A pleasant environment for leisure

As with many hotel rooms they are well laid out and offer tea and coffee. However like many rooms when set up for twin beds that is where they become awkward. In order to separate the beds you have to rearrange the furniture. This also reduces the available space.

Rooms are tired, double glazed windows didn't close properly and a tourist hotel for large tour groups. Only one lift to cover three floors with queues at check-out. Breakfast area is a complete zoo in the morning due to a very small area where the food is laid out...also very limited. Location is a 10 minute walk to old town and did see a nice hotel set in the castle grounds.

Very clean rooms with satisfactory beds. Coffee / Tea making facilities. Very small tv but didn't need it anyway. The downstairs restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. Service was very good

My family and I visited in August and stayed for one night included with breakfast. The rooms were relatively clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice and there was an option to order coffee at the bar

Excellent service, good food, very clean accomodation in a best location. Including Mr. Levan (GM) and staff were amazing. Definitely recommend to any tourist to stay in his hotel. We stayed for 2-nights and we were amazed by this experience.

We stayed here for a program. The rooms are clean. The TV was broken (not that we wanted to watch anything) the food was delicious. The manager lady near the rooms is really friendly. There's a big ballroom for at least 250 guests. Some rooms have balconies and bigger bathrooms.

This Hotel and Restaurant are conveniently located off the main road with plenty of parking. Rooms are clean and good sized. A great place to host a special occasion, perfect for that very large wedding! The Khinkali are made fresh and are worth the mouth watering wait. My favorite for sure. And don't forget the local wed wine.

This comfortable hotel located very quiet place which is close to center. Hotel has inside yard which is green with trees and flowers. Perfect location and lovely guest house! Room and bathroom were clean, the host was hospitable and kind, and the breakfast space at the garden was gorgeous! Highly recommend if you need a place to stay. Fortress is only a minutes or two walk to the stairs for entry (or further up the hill) and Vardiza is under an hour and a half away. Very nice place with very good food and drinks for a low price. What's more, we were really surprised with the present from the host: when we realised we are the last at the restaurant, he played the guitar and sang several songs himself for us. This is the best Georgian food I have ever had! The food is fresh, big portion, not too salty, and rich in flavor. The hosts are super kind to us. We ate there everyday during our trip to Akhaltsikhe.

Kesane as a restaurant is a true gem. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food is great, especially "Old rabati" dish. What made the evening truly special was the owner’s outstanding generosity. After a wonderful meal, Zurab treated us to complimentary house-made plum chacha! His kindness, combined with the amazing food made "our day"! Highly recommend!

The owners were so kind and provided us not only with hot and delicious vegan food but also with a place to hangout for a while, leave our bags while we visit the castle etc. We opted for pretty much all the vegan items on the menu (not declared but still easy to find), the bean pot and the mashed potatoes were a tad bit too salty for my taste but still delish. Fantastic owners and atmosphere. We stayed three just for one night. Room was clean, maybe standard isn't high but for us was enough. Food was delicious and portions where realny huge. We spent there fantastic evening with other guests and owner who played on guitar and sang not only georgian songs. I will reccomend it for all people who want to see what does it mean georgian hospitality.

Definitely one of the best stops in Georgia I've ever had and this time I travelled with my family. The owners were first class, as was the neighbor. It is worth taking rooms with breakfast - if you have an intensive sightseeing plan, you will not be hungry until the evening. They say that a Georgian breakfast is like a Polish dinner - it's true. I have visited Rabath hotel twice. Room are clean. Near to city center and shops. It is not noisy. Our host family is very hospital and very nice people.

Clean, very nice owners who even invited us for dinner. Perfect location right on the Rabati Festing which is also recommended (1 minute walk). It is advisable to book one night and negotiate others directly with the owners!

We had a wonderful night's stay here at the Taba Hall hotel. We stopped here to visit the fortress in the area and it was well worth the stop. The hotel offered comfortable beds, heating and WiFi. Large hotel in a quiet part of town with very nice rooms and good breakfast. We were almost alone in the hotel, which was almost spooky, but otherwise we can't complain about anything, the staff was very helpful. We parked on the street in front of the hotel. Recommended!

Nice hotel located on a quiet side street. Hosts are very friendly, young lady speaks very good English. Breakfast is served, rather than buffet, but there is a good selection. Parking right at the door. Room is not huge, but big enough for a couple of days. It's clean and comfortable. The hotel was really nice I enjoyed the stay very much the hostess was really nice and helpful. Even for a person who does not know any Georgian they had people who could communicate in English and helped me with different things. If I were to go back I would definitely stay at the hotel.
