Akhaltsikhe Inn in Akhaltsikhe

I haven't written a review for some time but feel it is necessary after tonight's dining experience at this hotel. Given that there are almost no other alternatives for dinner here in Akhaltsikhe we dined in house . Our dinner order was Georgian salad with walnuts - ok but not the best we have had in the past 16 days, Georgian style potato ok basically thick cut potatoes fried in oil. BUT the huge disappointment was the bbq chicken and bbq pork. Both were exceptionally tough and dry and impossible to chew. The waitress was informed of this Went to the kitchen came back retrieved the plate and then we heard screaming from the kitchen It was the chef disputing our case that the meat was tough and inedible. The same plate reappeared with no change .In the end we ate the salad and potato , left the meat asked for the bill and were told they had given us a discount of 10.40 giving a total bill of 62.39 Lari Roughly the same in AUD The service staff were pleasant and it was not a nice situation for them to be bullied by the resident chef Our advice to travellers staying here is to avoid dishes like these as it seems the quality of meat and/or the cooking results in something that is inedible

The room was very small, and it was difficult to turn around. When I woke up the next morning, I found that the bed sheets were stained, like shoe prints, which was disgusting. The room smelled very bad and was uncomfortable to live in. I don't recommend it.

New hotel and probably best one in Akhaltsikhe. Not all the rooms are available due to ongoing renowation process (March 2024).
Not 5 stars as it's presented :) There's a lack of hotel personel, not enough tables in restaurant, poor room service (I think they simply cannot handle every room with existing staff).
Good variety of food during breakfast (included). Restaurant works from 11:00 till 23:00 not as tasty as wanted :/ Dishes look really nice and price is quite high, though most of meet (beef, chicken) dishes were hard to chew, soups are small portions, local cheese dishes are very salty :/
Pool was overcrowded :/
No sitting area outside the building - there's a backyard but without any furniture :(
Hotel and Restaurant have a huge potential to do better - hoping for better experience :)
