Nice hotel in very quiet surroundings.
Is on the expensive side, but is also nice

02.04.2025 Stefan

Very good restaurant, knowledgeable and friendly staff. It lays down very nicely and is a good base.

02.04.2025 Kornelia

Very good value for money, excellent cuisine. The staff is very attentive and friendly. A successful wellness weekend.

Were there "just" to eat. Great menu and really nice and polite staff, you can clearly see the joy of relaunching after the corona break. We loved it!

During our stay at Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese, we had a very positive experience. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome, and it was great that we could go straight to our room. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Although it was a bit warm, the fresh air through an open window made sure this wasn't a problem. The only downside was a slight noise level, but it wasn't bothersome. The food at the hotel was of excellent quality. The menu could perhaps have been a bit more extensive or varied, but what was served was of a high standard. Breakfast also met all expectations and was well-prepared. The hotel facilities were also good. The swimming pool is large and suitable for all ages, which is a big plus. Furthermore, the location is beautiful: the hotel is situated in a beautiful area, and other villages are easily accessible by car. In short, a lovely place to stay with a good balance of hospitality, quality, and comfort. Highly recommended!

Although everything is to a high standard, staff is very approachable and down to earth. They make sure everyone is looked after, including children. The quiet room is comfortable and there are libraries, games rooms and a private park. Attractive hiking and a hill for tobogganing right outside the hotel. Food is high quality, healthy cuisine (not suitable for vegans, but likely doable upon request). It's very clean and includes many services that make this such a relaxed place.

Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese is located high on a hill; You can take beautiful walks around the hotel, everything is well signposted. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool, jacuzzi, 2 saunas and a steam cabin. A rest area with lovely sunbeds and free tea and coffee. Everything super clean and cared for. The hotel has recently been tastefully modernized. The food is very good and the employees are very friendly. They do everything to make you happy. The atmosphere is pleasant, especially because it is not whipped up; top quality is common here.

A 4+ star establishment that is well maintained, but the type and quality of the food does not match the stars. For breakfast, you have to fill out a questionnaire at the table and write down how many slices of ham, salmon, cheese or whatever you want to eat. Then they bring it out and you can eat it. It reminded me of my stay in hospital. Being able to see the delicacies on the buffet whets your appetite and invites you to choose which appetizers you want to eat. Filling out a form is completely unsuitable for this and is not an indication of hospitality. After all, you eat with your eyes too! You can choose the evening menu, but the salad buffet that is typical in establishments of this category is not available! My main course (fish) was so salty that I could hardly eat it - but they simply took note of the complaint and did not try to make amends (as is completely normal in other hotels/restaurants). The prices are really amazing, though. The stay and the strange "hospitality" are quite expensive.

Friendly welcome, attentive service, good food, beautiful scenery! I am completely satisfied! Invites you to relax.

We now have visited this hotel 13 times in the past 6 years. That should tell you everything. From the very first time it has been a true gem, a paradise to stay. Having visited many hotels over the world , nowhere did we find this atmosphere, this service. Family-run for years you feel the love and dedication of all people involved to make your stay optimal to your personal preferences. Surrounded by the woods the hotel itself is located in a beautiful park with meticulously kept flowerbeds , and is a very well thought of combination of new and older architecture. Several terasses, an intimate wellness area, exclusive rooms with a view at the park, and a great breakfast and diner. But most of all it is the great service , the warm welcome that is expressed by the couple that owns the hotel and by the staff. It all may sound as to good to be true and for us it is, but apparently not only for us as we met several guests who also visit Jagdhaus Wiese several times a year with their children, their parents , friends or just alone .

Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!

Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!

Clean, friendly, breakfast with a lot of choice even at 10am, great food!

07.02.2022 Kees

Great nice hotel. Very pleasant reception. We were the only guests due to the influence of corona and the moderate weather. But don't worry, the atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant is very soothing. Nice breakfast and dinner. Plenty of choice at breakfast without wasting, kudos.

02.01.2022 Andrea

We have felt very comfortable here. The room was very clean, the food was delicious and the service was very good. Thank you for the helpful excursion tips! :) Our extra requests were also dealt with without further ado. Extra children's dishes are set for small children. And of course the location is great. We'll be back again!

02.09.2017 Maarten

Quiet, clean and well-maintained hotel.

05.03.2016 Gerard

Cosy, rustic and clean. Friendly service, good breakfast buffet and dinner. Hardly any vegetarian options though. Beautiful nature with lots of hiking trails nearby. The silence here is very relaxing.
