Clean, has a fridge but had some issues with the heating. Close to local shops and restaurants and quiet at night to go and sleep.

Located right in front of the station, with a BvB shop very close by. The room had an electric kettle, was clean, and comfortable to stay in. The front desk staff were also very kind.

Clean hotel close to the Westfallenhallen so it was a convenient location

Yes, there are investments to be made into the rooms. Especially the bathrooms. The carpets and curtains are even horrendous at times. But the entrance is grand, the breakfast absolutely ok, service very friendly and helpful and the location evidently unbeatable when the fair or stadium is your destination. 4 stars is a bit too much, but 3 isn't justified either.

We booked a room with one double bed. When we arrived this was not available. With some difficulties they compensated us with a welcome drink. The room was fine but the shower was a bit blocked so the bad filled itself slowly. Breakfast was good.

Overall, we were very satisfied. The location was perfect for the Westfalenhalle, the trade fair, and the stadium. The breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfortable. The €20 per day parking fee is something to consider if you're arriving by car. It was a bit overpriced and noisy due to an event. The staff was relaxed.

Hotel is in good location near to train station and shopping area. We had a triple room which is clean. However washroom ventilation fan not working also air conditioner not working, we told hotel but no technician fixing it. Hotel reception Miss Victoria was nice and offer us free breakfast as compensation.  It would be good if there is kettle in the room form boiling water.

It was a very comfortable stay for a family with child and dog. Room was cosy. Breakfast was very nice and nutritious . Downstairs table football for a small family game was also fun.

Really nice hotel right next to Dortmund Hbf. Lovely room but I found it poor lighting near the sofa. I found the beds really comfy to say it was a single and the best part they have long duvets which I found amazing in keeping you warm. Has a mini bar but there is no kettle. Let’s say location is nice (but the city center is small and every hotel will be convenient). The hotel is clean 5/5 (still saw some black hair on the floor unfortunately). The hotel is overpriced. Although it’s a 4 star hotel, the hotel doesn’t have a kettle and teacups in the room. They have the app, but it seems like doesn’t run very well. The hotel is in a very good location. It takes only 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the downtown pedestrian street for shopping and dining. The waiter is very nice and the breakfast selection is moderate. The only biggest problem is that the room lacks an electric kettle. Although the room is small, it is very clean and well-equipped, especially the bathroom.

The room was very clean and tidy. The hotel is located near the main fire station and is very convenient to the city center. There is also a very authentic Italian pizza restaurant opposite the hotel. If you stay, you can try it.

Had our stay here whilst exhibiting at the ADAC SIM expo. All the staff were amazing and extremely helpful. The rooms and public areas were kept very clean and tidy. A large family hotel dedicated to Borussia and ideal for an overnight stay when you are visiting the stadium. Stayed here November 2021 for a wedding. Comfortable rooms, and a breakfast set up 2nd to none. I hadn't eaten a proper German breakfast in years, and this was was like hitting the mother load. Looking forward to next stay.

I always enjoy staying at the Drees Hotel because the overall picture is very consistent. The staff is very friendly and polite, the food in the evening is very good and the day starts off perfectly with a great breakfast buffet. As a frequent traveler, I have no reason to complain. Well actually fine, but this hotel just looks so weird. The room looks fine but not really clean. The pillows cover was broken and many hair on the bathroom floor and wall. The water cooker was not working properly. The glas were dirty and no tea or coffee on the table.

It's very close to the exhibition and you can walk there. The facilities are good and the breakfast is rich. I will book this hotel again next time. It is very convenient for attending the Dortmund exhibition.

I had an apartment with a kitchenette for 1 week at the Esplanade. Since I didn't have a car, it was convenient--only about 3 blocks from the Hauptbahnhof and a couple of blocks from the central pedestrian zone. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We liked the garden and grounds and the hotel decor. The drink and food were of excellent quality. We spent most of the time in the Spa and was well looked after by Emily who was most attentive, helpful, happy and delightful staff member. The massage was fabulous and relaxing. The L'Arivee is one of the few hotels we would happily book again.

What’s treat this hotel and spa turned out to be. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. Dinners were the best we had in all of Germany! Le Petit Chef was so fun! Nice hotel with plenty of free parking. Garage parking cost 10€/night. Friendly and nice front staff. The road bit busy in the morning and evening.

Budget friendly hotel, room was nice. Aircon was loud and didn’t do an awful lot, Bathroom was the best. Bed very comfortable however the bedroom itself wasn’t exactly spacious! Be prepared, no wardrobe or draws of any kind just a rail for hangers. No safe either, bottle of water supplied but room was that disgustingly warm it was warm as there wasn’t a fridge. We stayed 2 nights as part of a package to see Borussia Dortmund play. The hotel is well outside the city centre however it is conveniently located across the road from a light railway station that had a regular service to the city centre, taking approximately 15 minutes. Dortmund Mercure is a typical business hotel with minimum frills. It’s more appropriate for solo travelers but the bed and room can be comfortable for couples. In the city center, it is convenient for eating and shopping, but it is inconvenient for parking. They don't have their own parking lot. The room doesn't have a good view, but the room is very clean and the service staff are very warm and friendly.

Close to the main station about 7 minutes walk. Secure at night and sometimes offer late check outs when it’s not too busy for those with very late flights which is one of the main reasons why I keep going back. A bit out dated on the decor but it’s ok for the price.
