Exceeded all expectations. Wonderful, friendly, kind and very helpful staff, delicious dinner and breakfast and our 2x rooms (1 room with balcony and 1 junior suite) were spotlessly clean and traditionally furnished. The gardens and outdoor pool are beautifully maintained and the hotel is perfectly positioned for excellent walking and cycling, and the station is a 5 minute walk away.
For families, there is a fantastic youth centre on the hill by the hotel with two huge tyre slides, a playground and other facilities with a super venue serving hot dogs, other food and drinks. Seems to mostly be open only during local school holidays.
Would highly recommend Parkhotel Flora and we hope to go back again one day.

We had a great stay here. Schluchsee (in September) is a quiet resort (compared to Titisee for example!). The hotel is 15 mins walk from the train station. The staff are friendly and helpful. I think we were the only English people there, but they translated the menu for us. The food was excellent, served in an elegant and spacious dining room. Our room had a balcony which was nice. It was spacious and comfortable.

We arrived on a very hot afternoon and were warmly welcomed to the hotel. We had a good room on the first floor overlooking the garden. There is building work on going at the hotel and half the garden and the outdoor pool are part of the building site. We were warned about this before we travelled and it did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. The bathroom had a large shower and 2 sinks and was spotless. There was a good balcony with outdoor furniture. The evening meal was a 7 course dinner, after the first night we cut out 2 of the courses as we could not do justice to all 7. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection to choose from. The hotel is located slightly above the lake and is very peaceful on a night. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the lake. The staff were all very helpful and spoke excellent English. If we are in the Black Forest again we will certainly come back.

We chose the Parkhotel Flora for our stay in the Black Forest because of the many positive reviews and were not disappointed. The whole house and grounds feel very well maintained. The rooms are very nice, spacious and well equipped. The minibar was not missed (which was complained about several times in other reviews). Drinks were offered in the city center to be delivered to the room at very reasonable prices. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and competence of the staff at the Parkhotel Flora. Friendly, hardworking staff can sometimes be found in other hotels, but what is also great about the Parkhotel Flora is the fact that everyone is well trained and attentive! Not only at meal times (breakfast and an excellent multi-course dinner) every wish and need is read from the guests' mouths. There is no need to "ask" for anything! Simply excellent service, bravo and thank you!

Nothing to complain about here. Great hotel with a beautiful garden in a quiet location. The room and hotel are very nice and clean. The staff are very polite and very friendly without feeling like it is fake. The food was very tasty and nice to look at. We will be very happy to return.

location, rooms, service are absolutely great , although the food is typically German-europen, but theres always a La-carte good alternatives. family owned, excellent service from staff.

Everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for harder pillows and soon after we found them already in our room. They provided a rich breakfast buffet. The food was excellent and as a vegetarian I always had options. The location is very quiet and near to many hiking paths. We had a great time!

Very beautiful hotel. All the Black Forest region is wonderful and here it's no exception!
The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. They were readily available via Booking.com and they speak English and French extremely well (and German, of course).
My mother was sick after our roadtrip and they were more than accomodating regarding room service, since she wasn't feeling well to go to dinner.
The breakfast is from 7h30-10h30, there is cake and coffee from 14h30-16h30 and dinner is served from 18h00-20h00 (at the time of our stay, during this long weekend in June).
The suite is like an appartement: is huge, well decorated, warm and cosy, and the balcony is also great.
The outdoor and indoor pools are also amazing, especially the exterior one as you have a beautiful view of the forest. The gardens are also very pretty with perfect flowers and a lot of greenery all around you.
It's a 15 minutes walk to the lake.
It's highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back. Gorgeous!
