Set in the old town, this is a lovely old building. Place was very clean and staff very pleasant and approachable. Breakfast was buffet style, accommodating pretty much everything.
We did pay for a basic room, which was clean and presented well. It was just unfortunate that the room was near the lift shaft and I think over the kitchen. Consequently we were woken up around 6am by slamming doors probably for breakfast setup. So I would recommend upgrading the room if you can.

The hotel didn't have parking, which made it very difficult. But the real annoyance was the attitude of the staff. I ordered a latte and a Coca-Cola. I went to pay. The clerk was visibly frustrated, annoyed and nervous to process that! She didn't even try to hide it. She said: " Give me a minute, give me minute, you need too many things". (Too many things being making payment for a latte and a coca-cola!). I had to remind her: " I am paying for these things". I don't need to be treated like that when I pay 4.2 Euro for a small bottle of coke (probably worth 1.5 Euro, at most). I wonder if I'd get the same treatment if I were a blonde German.

Good location in a beautiful historic building. The breakfast was very good and we sleep well. They give you a transport card that we loved it and is very useful.

The location was excellent, right in the beautiful historic district of Konstanz. The hotel itself was quite beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful, especially Beta at the front desk. I was on a solo bike trip, and there was a convenient place to store my bike right there on the first floor. The breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were reasonably priced. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great historic building and clean rooms.
In summer, the lack of air conditioning is a challenge; we'd still be happy to come back.

The room’s sound isolation was quite poor, and I struggled to sleep through the night due to constant noise from outside, the corridors, and the lift. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, making it easy to reach main attractions, but finding parking was quite a hassle and took extra time and effort.

The hotel's location is truly excellent. Right in the city—it really couldn't be better.

The staff is consistently extremely friendly.

When problems arose, they immediately sought solutions and helped. The service at reception was very good.

The breakfast service could definitely be improved. For example, the tables weren't cleared. Only when breakfast was over did the staff come with a trolley and clear all the tables at once. So even if you were served a second coffee, the empty cups usually remained on the table. Therefore, the staff here should be retrained.

There was always enough space to sit.

The room furnishings have seen better days ;-)
As a lady at the reception said, they are gradually being renovated.

Conclusion: Suitable for a short break if you don't have too high expectations.
I would stay in a renovated room again anytime.

Location is good, about 8 minutes walk from train station. Breakfast is good, except the coffee. There is no air condition in the room and there was 30 degree C when I arrived that day. The room was completely hot, despite there is a fan in the room, not much help. Another drawback is my room was at 5th floor, the elevator is only up to 4th floor, so I need to go up the stairs to 5th floor with my suitcase. I will choose other hotel if I come again.
