Hotel in need of serious updating. Only a1 person staff. Located high on a hill. There are 30 steps to the entrance of the hotel. Assistance with luggage was never offered. This was quite a surprise as other small hotels had offered assistance for a solo traveler. No fridge in the room either .

I had booked a double room with a king-size bed for a romantic getaway. When I got there it was a small room with two twin size beds foot to foot. When I inquired on my actual room was told the room became unavailable that morning. They did not contact me to let me know, basically did a bait and switch. They didn't even offer a discount. I was very upset, and ended up not staying there.

I stayed here in 2010 with my mother and friends. I've traveled a LOT in Germany and the owners are, without fail, the kindest and most hospitable I have ever come across. Though I was unable to explore or enjoy any amenities due to being terribly sick, the owners were beyond helpful and accommodating. They helped my mother find medicine for me and the owners actually specially made me soup and brought it to me because l was bedridden with fever. I'm not saying you will receive that treatment, but the owners are a rare breed in the industry. They completely took us under their wings. I will forever be grateful for their profound kindnesses. If I ever have the opportunity to visit the area again I am going to stay with them and kiss them with thanks.
