Park Hotel Post in Freiburg

Friendly staff, excellent location, reasonable rates (incl parking)...for a city. Bibliophiles will love it and everyone will appreciate the little touches.

Good location but be sure to book parking if driving otherwise you'll need to use a public parking garage, which depending on when you go (we went during the Christmas market season and it was insanely busy) you may need to walk a little.
The room was spacious and even had a balcony, and overall the hotel was very clean and comfortable.
Shout out to the staff at breakfast. Super attentive and friendly.

The hotel is very beautiful and has a rich cultural atmosphere. The corridors are decorated with books and photos; it used to be a family-run hotel. It's very close to the train station hall as the crow flies, though you need to walk a short distance along a cobblestone path with your luggage. The room is classically decorated and cozy. The bed isn't large, but there's a sofa and a desk. The bathroom is also quite spacious and very quiet. The reception staff are very welcoming; when I asked where I could get hot water, they provided a large electric kettle. Fruit is always available for guests on the first floor. It's also very close to tourist attractions, within walking distance. Freiburg left a very good impression.

This is our fourth time to stay at the Park Post Hotel.
We consider this our home away from home when we visit beautiful Freiburg. The staff have been the same for the last years of our visits and are so welcoming each time we visit.
The hotel is full of charm and interest as each of their rooms is dedicated to a literary author from Germany who have stayed at the hotel themselves. It has a wonderful intimate feeling. The breakfast is always fresh and delicious. The breakfast room is rather small and can be congested especially on weekends. The staff make the best of a limited situation that their is no remedy for but certainly worth the stay regardless. We have made many fond memories during our stay at the Park Post Hotel and have invited other friends to join us and they have loved their stays as well.

The staff were so kind and very helpful. We did not partake in the breakfast, looked good though. They were kind enough to bring a hot water kettle to my room so I could make my tea.
An extra they had was a bowl of fresh fruit near the elevator and some individual wrapped candies you could take with you. Beautiful hotel, quiet and centrally located you can walk into town. A wonderful grocery/deli just across the street and a Woolworths next door to purchase anything you may have forgotten or some souvenirs to take home.

Had a good sleep, a wonderful breakfast, lovely to be in a hotel with such a love for books and writers. Makes it a quite unique place to stay.

This hotel is fantastic. It’s small and quiet. The perfect place for a quiet relaxing holiday. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great! I will definitely stay here again!

Location was great. Staff was very helpful and gave us rooms early. Breakfast staff was very overworked but very polite and nice. Lift does not feel safe. Else everything else was good.

This is a great location convenient to the old town and the train station.
They have a very good breakfast offering.
