New hotel! Great design, very friendly staff, cozy bar with delicious cocktails! Fantastic breakfast buffet... 100% recommended 👍

Was greeted by a rather unpleasant employee during my check-in. Trying to explain things like a child is demeaning, DON'T do it!!
For a room costing 140€ a night, I expect to not have any complains. But the rooms lock system is so unresponsive, you need multiple attempts to unlock and in the room, the part of the roof which is supporting the air conditioning was tainted so much and needed maintenance (see photo).
The breakfast was a traditional English breakfast but excellent though. I really liked the dining place during breakfast and the quietness.

Stayed 1 night. Got in late and just wanted to rest. At 7:30am or so someone (I believe cleaning crew) came into my room even though I locked the door (didn’t knock), this happened again around 9:30am, then again a Maintenance guy came in around 11am. Checkout was not until 1200. There is absolutely no good reason why cleaning is going into any room that early, specially if there is a guest in the room. Unprofessional staff. And secondly, if the room is guest ready there shouldn’t be any maintenance request being serviced by the Maintenance team. No phone call or heads up from reception. Absolutely the worst service I’ve encountered in Germany. I would stay away from this hotel.

Satisfactory: Location good; Room satisfactory; not so good: I arrived at approximately 07:30 and was informed that teh restaurant was closed but Pizza available at the bar, and teh bar closes at 10PM. I opted to eat elsewhere returning at 10:45 thinking I would have a night cap, but the bar had already closed. Otherwise all ok. Thanks.

The room was classic, the facilities were a bit old, but the cleanliness was good. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. The only downside was the hotel's location; it's on a hill, so walking there from the station with a lot of luggage was quite a hassle.

I travelled for business and so wasn't needing lots of amenities...clean bedroom, food, bar. Bedroom was fine, but restaurant had closed when I arrived at 19:30 or so. I was told the bar glossed at 20:00, so went out for food ( bar did serve pizza I was told), arrived back to the bar for a nice red wine...not. the bar was closed at 20:50. I was given a room upgrade I was told on arrival. Hard to see the added benefit of that as the room appeared normal.

Good Hotel with a more than fair value for money.
I mostly write this review as I do not understand a lot of negative reviews that I saw here.
I only have been coming here as my companies office is located very close me it is walkable from the central station.
I must say that the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and available 24/7 and the general condition of the rooms is very good.
Fair point though: This is not a 5 star hotel - and a lot of negative comments aim towards extra services, minibar, whatever - you can easily get this: Drop quite a bunch more Euros and head to the Steigenberger or the Maritim.
Note: They had to change invoices for me, this worked very quickly and without any struggle via E-mail
Note2: I never had breakfast here, so I can’t comment on that
