We travelled in summer and Location was super quiet. Few restaurants open in the evening. Small but very functional kitchen. Bring a few basics, like salt, pepper, oil, chopping knife. Comfortable beds, great shower room, and big balcony. Large Internet enabled flat screen TV allowed us to login to our own netflix and YouTube accounts and get English language programming. Edeka supermarket and railway station 5 min drive or 30 minute walk away. Gorgeous location. It is worth paying extra for an upper floor room and for a mountain view. The Austrian border is about 11km away. If you head that way the scenery gets better and better. Lots to do by the lake. If I was heading to the area again I would plan ahead a little more in terms of activities on the water.

The room is simple but fine, surroundings beautiful. Reception was doing other things behind the desk when when we arrived. No greatings and no eye contact was made. We had to wait until computerwork was done. Does not make you feel welcome. Maybe a bad day for them?

The Hotel Hohenaschau is very centrally located in the Chiemgau. To the Kampenwand train is only a few meters. To the Chiemsee to Prien there are only a few minutes by car, and to climb to the Summit of mount geigelstein to property, plant, and rank as well. In the family atmosphere we felt from the first at the moment. The Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.

We had to Dodge at the beginning of June at this Hotel. Our "usual" meeting hotel was unfortunately fully booked. And we were very positively surprised. Very good Service, large and bright conference room, a beautiful room and a good Breakfast. What more could you want. It has also not bothered at all that it is "only" a Garni-Hotel. We had to get on both evenings, we were in the beautiful Aschau, very good restaurant reservations by our Hoteliers. We will probably spend our autumn meeting at the Hotel Hohenaschau. We fully recommend more ....

Very beautiful place to stay.in front of you the mountain and behind the castle!All over trees.Its amazing!Big and comfortable rooms ,very clean and very kind staff!They try to make you the accomodation as better as they can!We are very happy who choose this amazing place!Thanks for all! Nice apartments. We were provided with a bowl of fruit at our arrival. The breakfast was €7.50 per person.
