Reviews
Missing: minibar, coffee maker, vanity mirror
slippers
This at a 4-star hotel for €368 + €64 (2 people) for breakfast.
Breakfast served by completely overwhelmed staff
Served at the table on tiered trays, very little selection
Coffee only in half-full cups, coffee pots only available in very limited quantities
At €32 per person for breakfast, pancakes cost an unbelievable €6.50 extra
No sparkling wine available
All in all, completely overpriced
For example, a 0.1l glass of wine costs €14.40
Not recommended
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and fell far below what any guest should expect from a 4-star property. The issues were not minor — they involved basic safety, comfort, communication and responsibility, and the hotel consistently failed in all areas.
1. Room not fit for sleeping – confirmed by management
My original room was street-facing and throughout the night heavy trucks were unloading directly outside. Due to a fault in the room’s soundproofing, which management later confirmed during inspection, the noise came straight through the door.
I was unable to sleep for the entire night.
For a hotel charging 4-star prices, this is unacceptable.
2. No in-room phone and no communication provided
There is no telephone in the room, and guests are apparently expected to contact reception through WhatsApp — something never explained at check-in and only hidden behind a QR code on the key card.
This is not “minimalist”; it is poor communication and poor safety practice.
Because of this, when I had a serious issue during the night, I had no way to contact anyone from the room.
3. Unsafe situation created by the hotel
At 4am, exhausted and distressed, I had to leave the room in pyjamas, walk across an open courtyard in the cold, and go to another building to reach reception.
There was no security, no staff presence, and no safe way to report the problem from my room.
A 4-star hotel should never put a guest — especially a woman alone — in that position.
4. Extremely limited amenities for the price
The hotel markets itself as eco-friendly or minimalistic, but the reality felt like extreme cost-cutting:
Only one bottle of water on the first night
No kettle, no coffee machine
No toothbrush, no shower cap, no basic toiletries
No slippers or gowns
Used cups left behind from previous guests
No replenishment of any items during the stay
This does not meet 4-star expectations in any way.
5. Bar not properly stocked
On my very first visit to the bar, the wine I ordered from the menu was already unavailable.
Another example of poor preparation and service standards.
6. Hotel refused responsibility – Trip.com had to intervene
Despite confirming the soundproofing fault and acknowledging the noise problem, the hotel refused to provide appropriate compensation.
The only resolution came from Trip.com, who stepped in when the hotel would not.
It says a lot when the booking platform takes responsibility but the hotel does not.
Overall Verdict
This hotel charges 4-star prices but delivers nothing close to 4-star service, amenities, or safety.
The building looks stylish, but the experience is defined by:
Poor communication
Inadequate amenities
Serious nighttime safety concerns
Faulty rooms
Poor staffing
And a complete lack of accountability
I would not return, and I cannot recommend this hotel. I hope future guests are made aware of these issues before booking.
There's also a public parking garage right nearby.
This is my second time staying there, and I'll definitely be back.
fantastic service !!!
