Where to stay with pets in Oberammergau

We had a great stay at the Hotel. Super location on outskirts of town

Room was very comfortable and large with separate sitting room, bathroom, bedroom and huge balcony with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Plenty of easy parking and we used the Indoor Pool

Breakfast was pleasant and can be taken inside or outside on the large terrace, Lots to do in local area cycling, walking and sightseeing

Extremely nice food and big portions, on Sunday for breakfast smoked salmon and Prosecco, amazing selection of cheese, nice rooms, small but warm and clean pool and sauna, beautiful views, location 3 min from centre and by the river

The restaurant had a hearty breakfast and good menu for dinner. Located with a 5 minute walk into town

I stayed in this hotel in July. As I travelled with Deutsche Bahn, I took a bus from the train station, because of the heavy luggage (Oberammergau was not my only stop)

Breakfast was great, and the rooms were comparable to other places in town. The location to the NATO School and downtown restaurants was ideal… 10-15 minute walk either way

Wonderful stay in the Bavarian Alps. The hotel offers breathtaking mountain views that make every morning special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile

Great little hotel Lovely hotel in very quiet location. Good breakfast convenient to get into town. Parking can be a bit cramped and sofa bed was not that comfortable. Overall great little hotel.

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors

Amazing breakfast and super clean, large rooms! Wide shower and well provisioned bathroom. It was a nice walk to the city center and we enjoyed the open field with the sheep across from the hotel.

A hot Gluhwein on tap in the afternoons and the fireplace rounds off a luxurious stay. Breakfast from 8-10am is diverse and high quality. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean

But if you are a typical Brit who wants your room cleaned every day, a decent breakfast, a sizable room with a comfortable bed, with staff that are there when you need them, but not constantly asking you if you are ok, then this does exactly what you need

Beautiful property, within walking distance of restaurants and shops, great updated bathroom. I loved the view of the alps and walking around the area. Wish I could stay one more night!

If you are looking for a hotel where staff are following you around constantly checking up on you, then this is not the place for you

Less than 15 mins walk to the NSO

Very convenient if you are planning to go to NATO School - 15 min walking. It is also the first stop if you take the shuttle from NATO - 5 min by bus. 5/10 min walking to city center

Walkable to the NATO school if the weather is nice and on the bus route- but off season it lacks friendliness- arriving in the morning after trans-Atlantic flight- the - come back at 1pm was not at all welcoming- I had to push my way in to leave and not wheel my suitcase around town for three hours! No coffee in the room and staff chatting amongst themselves and ignoring the guests Very inflexible...

Beautiful little town. Great location. Bed wasn’t great for comfort. Rooms were nice. Beautiful little town.

We were there just for a meal as part of our visit to the Passion plays. It was well organised, the food was excellent, drinks served quickly, time was of an essence as we were there during the interval

very nice family hotel. Quaint, but modern rooms, good Breakfast and very friendly hosts. Approximately 150 metres from the Bunting away and a good 5 min walk from the centre. Always gladly again.

The staff was very accommodating,even moved us to a larger room.This is such a quaint hotel and would highly advise staying here.

It’s a 10 - 15minute walk from the main part of the town, but there is a free bus which circulates every 20 minutes

Staff was very helpful. Rooms were not available, so they gave me entire suite with almost three rooms.

Perfect location to enjoy this amazing Bavarian village. Rooms were very modern and better than in the picture. Free parking at the hotel and lovely staff. We would definitelly stay there again

Great location if you want to experience a quaint Bavarian Village. The room was comfortable with windows that open to let in the cool mountain air. Breakfast options were wonderful

Amazing hotel with a great location in Oberammergau. Newly renovated and nicely decorated rooms. Considering the size of the hotel and number of rooms, the fitness room is well equipped

Stayed here 2 nights. Room was beautiful, staff is amazing. The restaurant has great food. Buffet breakfast, fantastic. Can't say enough. Highly recommend this hotel.

this was NOT the case at Maximilian. All the niceties like heated tile floors, automatic window shades between the bathroom and bedroom, all the spa features, etc. It was all appreciated and lovely

Beautiful setting in Oberammergau, this hotel is in a perfect location to walk all over the town. Hiking trailing are close by and you can even walk to Ettal Monastery if you are motivated

Our daughter unfortunately got a little sick during our stay which caused a bit of a mess in our room. The staff were incredible quickly replacing our sheets and bedding so that we were 100% comfortable

The rooms are very nice, the restaurant and staff is amazing. People should appreciate more this place. Very near to town center and we had a couple of lovely days here, including the lovely spa area

This is a beautiful hotel right next to train & bus station, short 5 minutes walk to Passion Theatre and centre of town and a mini mart at the petrol station opposite the hotel (which opens till 10pm while we were there)

Located next to the rail station and great bus links, the Ammergauer Hof provides an excellent location to be based at, with a large free car park and only a few hundred meters from the village centre

Breakfast is typical for the regions, but there is loads of it and all fresh. Sadly at this time the house does not offer food during the day, the terrace would be a great spot to dine on

We came for the Passion Play and Erol & Petra made us feel so at home. The place itself was excellent

There are more than sufficient power sockets in the room. But note that there is no elevator or air conditioning. There's shared balcony areas at 2 ends of the building where you could sit and enjoy the mountain view

Would give this food 10 out of 5 if I could. food was amazing had the kebab plate and baklava to finish absolutely amazing!!! Could not recommend this place enough. Please visit this place when you’re here

Polite and accomodating staff! I had the room on the top floor, and it was spacious and comfortable, and quite warm (nice in wintertime). The location is a short walk from many of the restaurants in Oberammergau

Happy to be back at Mammhofer and Oberammergau We’ve been here 5 times, last 3 at Mammhofer. Close to everything we want to visit, easy go anywhere in town just walking. Excellent care and attention of the owner
