Hotel Maximilian was quite enchanting. The location is ideal since it sits in the heart of the village where you can find unique shops, restaurants and a beautiful cemetery with interesting headstones of past generations. Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors. A hot Gluhwein on tap in the afternoons and the fireplace rounds off a luxurious stay. Breakfast from 8-10am is diverse and high quality. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean.

It is a quiet, simple inexpensive hotel, offering the exact same selection for its decent free breakfast of breads, cold cut meats, sliced cheeses, boiled eggs, yogurt and Muesli, with juice and coffee. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but there is a room on the ground floor in which you can receive guests and friends.

If you pay with a credit card, the numbers must be raised on the front so that the hotel may imprint the card.

Ettal is one of the most picturesque little towns you will find in the alps of Germany. This is a great Hotel to stay if you want to explore the region of the Ammergau Alps. The service at the hotel is impeccable and the people of the region are very friendly to tourists. This is a quaint hotel right in front of the mountain "Hörnle" - a great area to Ski and sleigh ride. We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. The service was very good, the breakfast excellent. The room was of a good standard, as was the bathroom, if a little on the small side. The location in the village is very quiet and only a few hundred meters from the "center". We will be back, especially because of the rich and high quality breakfast.

I was a little apprehensive staying outside of Garmisch and having to use public transportation but the Richard Strauss Festival was happening in Garmisch and this hotel was the only one I could find under €150 per night. It was a very nice hotel. Nice air conditioning and I like the classic Bavarian style. There was a thai man visiting during my stay and when I went to check out, suddenly he had his guards arrest me! Apparently this was the king of Thailand and I called him discount Obama online and apparently that’s bad. Now I’m serving 45 years in prison lol.

Been there once, great food. Met a famous Thai guy there. He's super nice. Celebrity maybe. His sense of fashion is kinda weird. Probably got them form Baby Gap. His guard won't allow me to look at him tho. He was there with his wives.

Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in. Ten minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. Long ago this location was a flour mill, now a luxury hotel and spa in Garmisch. Rooms were clean, bed firm. They have a small gym, and many spa services. The bar has a decent selection of spirits, wine and beer. There is a lovely walking path along the river.

The Best hotel of our trip! Staff were excellent and so helpful at all times. Great location. Nice room with extra space and a balcony. Coffee maker in the room which was nonexistent in Austria! The hotel is located in a small town at the foot of Zugspitze. It is very close to the train station. There are supermarkets and shops at the train station, including Burger King. The hotel has a good location and a rich breakfast. The next day, it is less than 10 kilometers to drive to EIBSEE, which takes about 20 minutes. If I don't drive, I can take the train to EIBSEE and then buy a cable car ticket...

Romantic bavarian restaurant with a nice beer garden. We had delicious typical bavarian food and a fresh fitness salad after our hiking tour. Food and drink offer was so varied that we will come back to taste the rest! Service was friendly. Prices were fair.

Nice, cozy room. Modern amenities. Decent wifi, it did cut out occasionally, but you don't come to Bavaria to surf the web, so it was no big deal. The hotel is very nice and convenient

Everything was great. A small point to note is that there is no air conditioning for the room during winter season, hence you’ll have to leave the windows open as it gets a little stuffy overtime.

This hotel has great amenities for family vacation, the restaurant and bar atmosphere are great, but the small rooms are the problem, nobody likes tinny rooms, no AC just heating, no safe, no place for the bags, no amenities kit for the bathroom. Another problem is the front desk team, many of them barely speak English and sometimes have to work as receptionist and sales person for the Nivea store...

Lovely hotel with lovely staff We stayed for a ski holiday and really loved the hotel. The staff were lovely, they had a shuttle which ran to the slopes every morning and afternoon and made it really easy to get around. We spent three wonderful nights here in early spring. Our room was incredibly spacious for three people, and we loved the breathtaking mountain view. The breakfast was good enough to start the day, but the star of the show was definitely the beautiful indoor heated pool. While it's on the expensive side, the price feels justified for the quality of the amenities.

Great, clean hotel with a lovely breakfast that has a lot of variety. Fruit selection is awesome and it's really nice that they cut up the oranges and grapefruit for you, makes it much easier to eat. The lady at reception when we checked in May 26 around noon was incredibly helpful and even helped us to our room. She was so very kind during our whole stay. I use a cane and must have looked so tired, she was so kind. When we left , I felt I was leaving a good friend. All of the staff was super kind but she was exceptional. God bless her!

We stayed for 3 nights in October and we enjoyed our stay! It was conveniently located with the train station just opposite which also has convenience store there. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Driving in we were greater by Barbara who asked us to meet her in the restaurant. We checked in there and made our dinner reservations.
