This is the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at during my trip to Europe. Opening the window feels like stepping into a winter wonderland, especially with breakfast and free parking.

This is the best hotel in the Bavarian region. Very clean, warm, and quiet. The hotel staff is wonderful and speaks multiple languages. It offers an authentic Bavarian village atmosphere and a top-notch restaurant. It's conveniently located, close to popular tourist attractions. This is our third year in a row staying at this hotel, and we have only the best memories.

Right in front of Ettal Abbey so you can't beat the location. We got the comfort apartment and it had everything (no ac which is common in the region)!!! Plus was super clean and spacious. It wasn't in the main building and we needed to take two flights of stairs, but the room and view made up for that workout.

Lovely hotel , friendly staff large rooms. Added bonus of pool and sauna. Rooms could do with a kettle for tea and.coffee but water was supplied and topped up every day. Great location for seeing tourist spots

Being from the US, the hotel was the perfect German charm we were looking for. Common area and room was clean and all the employees were very helpful and friendly… and spoke English, which was a plus!! Fantastic German breakfast was included in our room fee. We also had dinner at the attached restaurant. Food was German fare and was wonderful, as was the staff.

We felt very comfortable at the Alphotel. It's not super-modern, but it was clean and well-maintained. Highlights were the view of a mountain range from the hotel room (with a balcony and small front garden) and the wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the generous breakfast. Points deducted for the bitter coffee and the lack of a refrigerator in the room. We would stay there again anytime.

We spent one night here during a motorcycle tour. The accommodation was well-maintained and clean, with outdoor parking for the motorcycles. The sauna and pool area are available for use. We couldn't use the restaurant because it was closed on Sundays.

I did not stayed here for any night, but came here just to wait for 3 hours, Katja gave me tea and showed the beautiful terrace. I was impressed by the genuine, calm and pleasant attitude of the place and service. If you like historical roots of interesting places (this hotel has its secrets!) and calm accommodation with tasty food - you should definitely choose this one.

Katja welcomed us perfect, she is a great host. She felt us at home, made us really comfortable, been there for our all needs, even for my son’s doctor examination.

This was an excellent hotel for a 2 week stay. The hostess is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to help. The rooms are extremely spacious and everything is kept very clean. One of the best stays I've had, largely due to the great hostess.

We were there just for a meal as part of our visit to the Passion plays. It was well organised, the food was excellent, drinks served quickly, time was of an essence as we were there during the interval. It’s a 10 - 15minute walk from the main part of the town, but there is a free bus which circulates every 20 minutes.

Only issue was the tv stopped working. Wasn't all that of a big deal since all German but management did not check it after it was reported.

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors. A hot Gluhwein on tap in the afternoons and the fireplace rounds off a luxurious stay. Breakfast from 8-10am is diverse and high quality. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean.

We had a great stay at the Hotel. Super location on outskirts of town. Quiet. Room was very comfortable and large with separate sitting room, bathroom, bedroom and huge balcony with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Plenty of easy parking and we used the Indoor Pool. Also, secure storage for bikes. Hotel bar & restaurant is not open on Thursday and Fridays but plenty of places to eat...

I must say that overall, services in Germany have worsened in the last two years. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But the price-quality ratio is quite poor.

I stayed in this hotel in July. As I travelled with Deutsche Bahn, I took a bus from the train station, because of the heavy luggage (Oberammergau was not my only stop). Happy to be back at Mammhofer and Oberammergau We’ve been here 5 times, last 3 at Mammhofer. Close to everything we want to visit, easy go anywhere in town just walking. What a great place! This is a great property that is well worth the price. The family that runs it are wonderful. We had a wonderful room with a balcony. It is very up to date. There is even a reasonable cost to use the laundry. Breakfast was outstanding with numerous selections.

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Oberammergau. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast excellent and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed here in 2023 and again this past July in 2025. The hotel is conveniently located in Oberammergau and is an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. If we ever return to Oberammergau we would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. We came for the Passion Play and Erol & Petra made us feel so at home. As if we were family. The place itself was excellent. We stayed in the top suite for one night in January, and it was outstanding. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, the indoor bathtub and spa shower, the private outdoor hot tub, and private outdoor sauna. We loved the outdoor infinity pool, which was lit up like the northern lights at night. Start for wonderful. On site parking for free. This was a fantastic stay.

This was the most amazing property. Tremendous spa. Gorgeous garden. Beautiful rooms. Tremendously good food. (Order the pork schnitzel!) Very helpful staff. If you enjoy cocktails seek out Shiva. He is a master non pareil.

The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. My only issue throughout our stay was that all of the soaps and lotions at the hotel had some type of nut ingredient in them. My partner has a severe nut allergy and felt quite uncomfortable after finding out soaps and lotions were made from nuts. This is something that we feel should be advertised online because we likely would not have stayed at this hotel...

Rooms are comfortable and food has more varieties. Since we reached the hotel at 12 am, they charged heavily without any concern. However been thanked for giving us room in that later night to have good sleep after 6 hours of driving from Frankfurt

The hotel is not far from the train station, about 10 minutes' walk. I stayed here for one night before going to Zugspitze the next day. The facilities are a bit old, but the scenery is beautiful and the service staff are very friendly. I will consider staying here again next time I have a chance.

Great family run hotel with very central location close to the train station and also the town centre. Extremely clean, cosy Bavarian atmosphere, friendly staff, also the lady gave great recommendations on what to see and do. We spent 4 nights at Hotel Roter Hahn. The room was very comfortable and quiet and had a superb view of the Zugspitze. Waking each morning to see the sun rising on the mountain was incredible!!!! Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.

I liked it, but it's more like a cheap hotel. I found the heating set way too high and didn't see a thermostat to adjust the temperature. Additionally, the internet connection in my room was poor, so I used my own. An upgrade of the rooms would be nice, especially considering the €100 per night.

Had a traditional alpine feel to the hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a nice location. Pro tip get a room not on the street side the church bells are loud.

Charming old world hotel with authentic details. Comfortable room with all amenities. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, had omelet station in addition to large spread of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits and more. Lovely fresh squeezed orange juice too. Located in the heart of the historic center, it is characterized by very large, well-kept and clean rooms. Abundant breakfast included in the room price. Possibility of parking in the nearby underground city parking lot at a cost of 5 euros per day.

With this price there is no bottle of water, boby lotion or slippers provided. The check out time is at 11am but at 9am the staff opened my door and checked. I was still in bed. Good location and friendly reception staff, but overall disappointing. We had requested twin beds months in advance, yet arrived to find one double bed. The room was small, very hot with no air conditioning, and the sheets had stains which we had to replace ourselves. Housekeeping was inconsistent and the room was only half-cleaned during our stay. Curtains did not block light, making it hard to sleep...

Staff was rude. The windows in my room had huge cracks in them all the way across. Good location next to the train station.

This hotel is very modern on the outside and in common areas. As soon as you get to your room you are met with a very outdated space that does not match the vide of the hotel common areas. The curtains were dusty, the carpet was missing, and the furnishings are very worn. The bathroom looks like it may have been recently updated with new tiles. The views from the room were also amazing, as was breakfast...

Enjoyable stay with spa & fitness area My second stay in Hotel Königshof. I really like this hotel because of its location close to the train station. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation with decent spa and fitness area. The beds in our room were not very comfortable because of the mattresses, otherwise the room was very clean. I like the spa area with saunas, steam bath and relaxation...

Very large spacious rooms and the owner was so helpful with active suggestions. Breakfast was great and the dinner was lovely with entertainment.

Very friendly staff. We had 3 rooms total. Each was lovely. Nice view to the street below. Breakfast was great. Ate at the in-house restaurant one night, the sauerbraten was excellent. Good value for the $$, would recommend to anyone staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

We absolutely adored our stay here and did not want to leave. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The views from our balcony were breathtaking. We loved walking through this lovely town. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful traditional Bavarian hotel. Parking available at a reasonable price which is a big plus since parking in the town is limited. The room was clean and decorated in Bavarian style. Great breakfast available with a variety of breakfast choices. Would definitely stay here again!

Check in was easy and very friendly. Dinner was great with a local music being played. We had a great stay!!!
