This hotel had very friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful and informative. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was very convenient.

I was a little worried after reading some negative reviews about customer service after booking, but I had no issues at all. Few staff speak English, but I had no issues with poor customer service or misunderstandings. If you are looking for a hotel where staff are following you around constantly checking up on you, then this is not the place for you... But if you are a typical Brit who wants your room cleaned every day, a decent breakfast, a sizable room with a comfortable bed, with staff that are there when you need them, but not constantly asking you if you are ok, then this does exactly what you need. Less than 15 mins walk to the NSO.

Check in is at 1400 - having flown in overnight I arrived at 1100 and enquired about the possibility of early check in. The staff repeated ‘2 o’clock’ several times and made no effort to even see if the room might be ready (as most hotels would do). The room was big, but not well ventilated so in June was uncomfortably warm. As for the staff, I found them to be unfriendly to the point of rudeness. The owner (I think) handles check out, but is only available around 1400 so you can’t check out on the day if you have an early departure. A colleague was woken at 2245 by a member of staff demanding that the bill be settled. I’ve stayed in Oberammergau lots of times - this is the first and last time I would consider staying here, and I would not recommend it to colleagues who go there often.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. Breakfast was inadequate, lacking variety and quality. We were unfairly charged €5 for a broken key card. When we requested a second key card, the staff gave us the runaround. The service was unfriendly, and they refused to assist with laundry, despite us being the only guests. Overall, the lack of hospitality and poor service made for a frustrating experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There is no spa services. There was also no cook in house.

Beautiful property, within walking distance of restaurants and shops, great updated bathroom. I loved the view of the alps and walking around the area. Wish I could stay one more night!

Very convenient if you are planning to go to NATO School - 15 min walking. It is also the first stop if you take the shuttle from NATO - 5 min by bus. Nice breakfast. Small gym and sauna. 5/10 min walking to city center. 15 min walk to the train station and to supermarkets - LIDL.

Walkable to the NATO school if the weather is nice and on the bus route- but off season it lacks friendliness- arriving in the morning after trans-Atlantic flight- the - come back at 1pm was not at all welcoming- I had to push my way in to leave and not wheel my suitcase around town for three hours! No coffee in the room and staff chatting amongst themselves and ignoring the guests Very inflexible about food availability and bookings needed for the spa to be ‘ready’ - technically this could have been the star rating as all the right things are there but I don’t appreciate being made to feel wrong for breaking rules that I don’t understand

My husband and I were on a 24-day car trip and stayed here one night. I saw another review of this hotel that said the staff was "mean" while others were fine. I would describe our experience as "rude" or "disinterested". We arrived in town early and the door was locked so we rang the buzzer. I wanted to see if we could drop off one small piece of luggage with contents that were best not left in a hot car while we toured. We rang again when nothing happened and I was cut off before I could even fully explain my need with "Check-in is at 3:00" (click). Shocked we went away and returned around 4:00 to check in to find the same locked door. We rang, waited, ran again and then another guest arrived. He rang. This got somebody's attention and we were let in. There was no welcome. I identified who we were. The young man (same one) went into the office where there was a woman he conferred with. I wondered if there was a problem and re-interated our request on the reservation for a first floor room if there was no elevator because of the challenge oof handling our bags. He said nothing. All he did was ask if we knew where parking was. We saw spaces behind the building so I said "Yes." The young man pointed at the elevator door once we got our key. My husband and I are seniors and struggled with the luggage in the absence of some assistance. The young man did not life a finger as he watched us. (We had to make 2 trips on the elevator.) Later, we realized we did not have the WIFI password. There was no one at the desk and no answer on the phone. My husband finally heard the voice of the young man and followed it to ask his question. (The young man was chatting with other staff.) We left for dinner and there was only one place behind our building which had a sign on it indicating it was for hotel guests. We parked there but did see a van nearby that would be blocked in. We had no other option and thought that perhaps it was there for the night. My husband had no sooner gotten comfortable than the same person called and told him that he couldn't park there and had to move the car. That meant my hustand had to get dressed and go down to be re-directed. We had no idea that the hotel had another building with more parking we could use even though our room was not in that edifice. We both felt like we were more of an imposition on the staff's day than guests. Unfortunately, facilities can be clean and accommodating. If the staff, however, is not welcoming or effective, that doesn't matter.

The hotel is pretty has free parking and is only a 5 minute walk into the town. The staff were friendly and accommodating, we were in another building behind the main hotel and the room was spacious with an upper mezzanine area with 2x beds that the kids loved. In the lower area there was the main bed and bathroom, a small kitchenette and a living area with dining table and a sofa (bed). We had a large balcony with views to the hills. With 2x kids we are normally back in the room by 8.30 each night so the free Wi-Fi and Panasonic TV were great. Highly recommended.

Generally hotel is ok. Nice room, bathroom. Little choice at breakfast and always the same meals. The bigger problem is the owner. She is unpleasant. Since you can find so many similar hotels around with more nice atmosphere avoid this hotel
