untrained staff and when critisiced even the manager reacts very snippy; we left the room at 9:00 (check out is at 11) to just go to the shopping center nearby and then come back and complete the check out. Got called whether we still come back and got almost told, that our room is already cleaned, because we left with all of our stuff. I paid for the room and do not expect to be rather kicked out as soon as possible.
Additionally when we came back in the evening, we found the windows left open and the heaters off (after a rather cold day and the heaters wouldn't work anymore at a late hour). When we told the manager he just simply said, that we couldn't proof anything and no harm was done. So arrogant and indifferent to customer satisfaction.

if I stay at a hotel and pay for it (until 11), I expect to be free to go in and out of the room as I please, even though I decide to take all my belongings with me! (besides, our car was still there and the manager did know that and in the worst case, if guests would do a runner, the hotel has the credit card as safety) you are in the hospitality business and it is not at all hospitable to make people stay in a cold room and say, that no harm is done. After all, we do pay(!) to stay at a hospitable place and if you don't want to provide a service, because you can't handle critique then don't. teach your staff and yourself (dear manager) to be welcoming and not annoyed with their job!
