Nice Bavarian cultural hotel with local foods. Lunch comes with limited options. Dinners were usually ok except one day. If you don't eat meat it is a bit hard to find something suitable to you. You may need to request room cleaning if you need. Great place for kids, they can navigate themselves above 3yo.

Wonderful child and dog friendly hotel

Almost nobody of the staff speaks English and some are really unfriendly. Anyways it is very clean, good food - but not great variety - and very family friendly. Amongst the downsides of not speaking anything but German, we've been charged 30€ more than expected, but we couldn't understand why, and our email exchange before our stay was completely non-sense.

Vacation in a nursing home The hotel is integrated into the nursing home. The rooms are very large, the bathroom is huge, and the living and sleeping areas are practically separate. The TV swivels, and everything is equipped for people with disabilities. So far, so good. But it also feels exactly like a nursing home. Even at breakfast with the two elderly ladies.

A very quiet hotel, perfect for relaxing. Its convenient location, just a short walk from the center, makes it easy to visit great restaurants. The location is also very advantageous for excursions. Unfortunately, breakfast is the only option available.

Very nice room. Unfortunately, there were no scrambled eggs for breakfast, but everything else was provided. Overall, very good value for money. I've been here four times and have always been very satisfied; dinner at the Kupferdachl is also good, when it's open. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time, even though it wasn't a closing day.

I can't comment on the rooms, as we were only there for dinner. We had booked the "Hutessen" (a set menu), and the food was first-class! There was a variety of fish and meat, fresh vegetables, and a wonderful salad buffet. Everything was so plentiful that, despite being asked if we wanted anything more, we politely declined. Everything is really great. My only complaint is that the mattress and pillows are way too soft and i woke up too stiff to be able to walk or stand up straight.

Room a bit old, but not too tragic. The hotel makes up for it with the super friendly staff and the excellent food. We felt very comfortable.

The restaurant offers a first-class selection of dishes, the quality of the dishes leaves nothing to be desired, perfect The service staff friendly. For 11 years now, we have been coming to eat there every September, during our vacation in Lam, and have NEVER been! disappointed. Really to be recommended with a clear conscience.

We found the room small, but we were only sleeping in it, so it was fine. Breakfast was incredibly delicious, with everything you could wish for and great coffee. Nice and clean hotel right in the middle of Viechtach's historic town center with shopping and eating nearby. Single rooms are very small but double room are ok. Fridge and water kettles are missing. Great breakfast buffet but the restaurant menu is pretty limited.

Got a room at short notice and were able to check in well before the agreed time. The location directly in front of the Osser makes the hotel the perfect starting point for mountain hikes. Priced well below the competition from Lahm.

Rich breakfast, room and hotel very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Bed unfortunately with a footboard, not suitable for tall people. Had to lie diagonally to bed because of my 1.91m height. But still very comfortable. Unfortunately, the ventilation in the bathroom is very loud, even when the light is not on. It was still a very nice stay with a great panorama.

It's a cheap clean hotel with very friendly staff. The only downer is the dinner, there are empty containers and bowls if you are not the first. (Salad, dessert, vegetables, etc.) The food is always tasted very late.

My daughter and I stayed for 4 days, while we attended a family wedding in the area (we had spent a few days in Munich prior, and both agreed that we wish we had just stayed in Bodenmais for the whole trip). The property is beautiful (so many well-thought out details) and incredibly well maintained, rooms as well as spa areas. Included Hotel breakfast was extensive and delicious. Nice hotel in a lovely location. Food and service were good and staff friendly. Only criticism was that the curtains were very thin and so I was woken up by early morning sunlight streaming into my room in the front of the hotel. Rooms at the rear probably didn't suffer from this problem.

It's a very nice hotel, the funiture in the rooms is a bit old school in my opinion but the rooms are clean and the view from the balconies is amazing. The people working at the hotel are most friendly and helpful.

At dinner there is a lot of variety: sometimes there is a generous buffet, on other days you can order food fresh from the kitchen. A large selection of fruits is always included. The hotel has a medium sized pool. There are also many massage offers to choose from....

Needs some updates. Beds and mattresses should be renewed. Wifi is not working properly throughout the whole hotel. English is an issue. Price/quality is OK.
