If you're looking for a hotel room with a hospital feel, this is the place for you. The bathroom seems to date back to when the hotel was part of the adjacent assisted living facility. The shower curtain was filthy at the bottom and desperately needed replacing. Our bathroom light only had a bulb – no cover. The room itself – which was quite large – had several light switches and electrical outlets that didn't work at all. The room wasn't vacuumed during cleaning, and the towels were still damp after almost 24 hours. The chair cushions were stained, and the cobwebs in the corner and the dust on the floor suggested that the room hadn't been properly cleaned in quite some time. Since the assisted living facility was only separated from the hotel by a door, the feeling of being in a nursing home was only amplified. You don't see any staff at the hotel – check-in is done by filling out a list that's visible to everyone at the reception desk, which is never staffed. There's absolutely no one to contact if you have any questions or concerns. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi was unavailable. Virtually no COVID-19 precautions were in place. There was only hand sanitizer at the hotel entrance. Breakfast (included in the price) was very basic. While there was fresh cold cuts, there was no selection of bread rolls. Only white bread rolls, cold eggs, and pre-packaged multigrain/whole-wheat slices (from Aldi?) with jam, honey, and Nutella were offered. On Sunday, there was also yogurt. As a frequent traveler, I know that it's entirely possible to offer a varied breakfast, even during the pandemic. For me, the price-performance ratio was simply not acceptable.

Vacation in a nursing home
The hotel is integrated into the nursing home. The rooms are very large, the bathroom is huge, and the living and sleeping areas are practically separate.
The TV swivels, and everything is equipped for people with disabilities.
So far, so good. But it also feels exactly like a nursing home. Even at breakfast with the two elderly ladies.

A very quiet hotel, perfect for relaxing. Its convenient location, just a short walk from the center, makes it easy to visit great restaurants. The location is also very advantageous for excursions. Unfortunately, breakfast is the only option available.

I booked this hotel because I had stayed there before without any problems, and after reading the reviews, I assumed the rooms would still be okay.
However, I was more than disappointed!
When I entered the room, the dirty armchairs and the loose baseboard immediately caught my eye. Even using the toilet was a surprise, as the toilet seat was loose or broken and kept sliding off.
I wanted to complain, but the reception was closed! The key was left in the lock when I checked in! The reception was still closed the following morning, so I couldn't complain again!
I have allergies and have to be very careful with dust mites and other allergens, so the rooms have to be spotless.
This was probably the worst hotel night of my life. I woke up several times during the night and my breathing became increasingly difficult. Each time I woke up, it got harder, and I took medication. The third time, I had to take an emergency tablet (cortisone) and use a respiratory inhaler.
I spent the rest of the night right by the open window because I was having so much trouble breathing.
In the morning, I took a closer look at the room and couldn't believe my eyes:
1. Vacuuming seems to depend entirely on the cleaning lady's motivation, and there doesn't appear to be any oversight by the hotel management. When I looked under the bed, I could see how little effort had been put into it; the carpet edges along the walls hadn't been cleaned, and the same was clearly visible on the bedside tables.
2. When making the bed, there doesn't seem to be a single cloth to remove the dust and dirt between the mattresses.
3. The headboard of the bed was extremely dusty.
4. The toilet seat was broken.
5. The armchair was disgustingly stained.
6. The baseboard was detached.
I'm usually very tolerant of hotel rooms, but in this case, all boundaries were crossed, and I can only recommend that anyone with allergies avoid this hotel.
I'm also always very disappointed that many hotels, despite being aware of allergy symptoms, do nothing to improve their cleanliness standards.

Very nice room. Unfortunately, there were no scrambled eggs for breakfast, but everything else was provided. Overall, very good value for money. I've been here four times and have always been very satisfied; dinner at the Kupferdachl is also good, when it's open. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time, even though it wasn't a closing day.
