B&B HOTEL Berlin-Mitte in Berlin

To the Management Team of B&B Hotel Berlin,

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a very unpleasant situation I recently experienced at your establishment.

I stayed at your hotel in June of this year and unfortunately left behind a personal item of high value —a torch worth more than 100 euros— in the room where I stayed.

During my current trip to Berlin, I decided to personally visit the hotel on October 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in hopes of recovering my item or at least getting some information about it. However, my experience was extremely disappointing.

When I arrived, there was no one at the reception desk, and I had to wait about three minutes before someone showed up. When I was finally attended to by the receptionist on duty, I received very poor and unprofessional treatment. Instead of showing any willingness to help or empathy, the receptionist mocked my situation and dismissively told me to “good luck” with my complaint.

I find it completely unacceptable that guests’ personal belongings disappear without any explanation, and that the hotel does not keep or record lost items regardless of how much time has passed. Such situations raise concerns that employees might be keeping items left behind by guests.

I request that this incident be investigated and that the necessary measures be taken to prevent this from happening again. I would also appreciate a formal response from the hotel regarding your lost and found policy and the behavior of your staff.

If you stay take more money or book a premium room otherwise you will get a small room with no view but a wall . Then the charge you £20 euros for a kettle or extra pillows . Breakfast isn't worth the money go over the road to a cafe or Starbucks and get two for the same price of one . The main desk are rude . And the rooms need a good clean ,went to Aldi for a pack of cleaning wipes so we could clean ? . Shower was broken and then leaked badly . If your looking just for somewhere as a base nothing else and you speak German then yes it's great value .

Worst hotel ever in Berlin. The room was very cold 🥶 at arrival (13° C) and the heating didn't improve the situation. After 90 min freezing, I requested a different room, which was at least at 18 °C
Unfortunately, the rating doesn't allow zero stars...

I'm always surprise with the stars of some hotels. I don't think I was ever in a smaller room. It was clean, but I could barely open my bag. The soaps were also not very good and you could hear everything from the next room, even people speaking normally. Breakfast was ok, big selection. Service was also nice.
