My family stayed at Hotel Nikolai Residence for just about two weeks over Christmas and New Year's Eve. We are a family of four - my husband, myself, our 12-year old son and 16 year old daughter. We knew we'd be there a fairly long time and wanted as much space as possible so we rented the largest available room, which allowed us all to have our own space. Very clean and well maintained hotel. The front desk staff are very professional and kind. The building is very secure. During the day the front door is locked and the front door staff has to unlock the door. After hours you have to use a key to access the front door, hallway interest and elevators. Only think I wished it had was a refrigerator in the rooms and probably not have carpeted rooms.

We booked a room for three people through Booking.com. The listing clearly stated check-in at 3 pm and checkout at 12 pm. For payment, we were redirected to the hotel’s “Arbio” website, where we also reserved parking for €20 per night. What bothered me was that on the Arbio website, the checkout time was listed as 10 am, with late checkout available only for an extra fee. After messaging through Booking...

A great place for couples or families Hotel is at a great location with nice restaurants, a river and places to visit in walking distance nearby. Hotel staff are great and place is very well maintained.

Staff was amazing throughout - easy late check-in, advice on sightseeing, logistics like money exchange and calling taxis. Room was gorgeous. Location is not far from the major center sights by metro.

Great hotel in an old renovated building with large rooms with high ceilings. Very clean. We had a full kitchenette large dinning table. Large shower. We had a small balcony. They have an elevator. No air condition. The location is perfect by the subway and three different trams. Lots of coffee shops small restaurants for the morning.

Stayed at Gorki everytime I’m in Berlin for the past 13 years. After my stay now I’m not so sure I want to stay there next time… bugs in the bed, torn and run-down and old finger stains in the bathroom. The freezer was broken, the shampoo was horrible and we only got one facial cloth and one tooth brush glass even though we were two people staying there. Kind of sad!

It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city center, but the area is quiet so you can sleep without noise at night. I also think the surrounding area is safe. There is a shared kitchen.

Solo Traveller Location and communal spaces were great. While the room was a good size, and was bright during the day, at night it appeared quite dark even with all the lights on.

The stay there was exceptional. A wonderful apartment with a living room and a bedroom. Everything is tastefully decorated, with endless closets for storage and plenty of accessories. Great stay, and incredibly friendly staff! They were amazing. What’s good to know is that there’s a bar below which is noisy, and there’s a tram and train which also is noisy in the rooms. So stay as high as possible.

The one thing that stood out the most was the customer service. The check in person went out of their way to help me with my bags up to the 5th floor, as the lift was broken for 1 day. The hotel has an excellent location, right next to the metro and tram stop. The room was clean, well-furnished, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed for just two days, but I believe it would also be convenient for a longer stay (7-10 days), as there’s a kitchen for cooking and even a yoga mat provided. The room was very big with a good wife connection. However when I entered it was smelling cigarettes. Same as reception. The lower bed sheet wasn’t there and given you are on the 1st floor on a central cross road you get to hear cars and trams all night quite loudly.

Clean, very cheap, good location. But room 6 is “ independent”, which means you need use key to open the door every time when you need using toilet or kitchen.

The ceiling height is super. You are really nights, a lot of air even in hot summer. The two conductors are super friendly and the handling of the Check-in and Check-out easy. I was in 2 different rooms. The only thing I would wish for the room, a trash can (and, at least in a I missed a level).

I always stay here when I'm in Berlin. The Prezlauer Berg location is convenient to transportation as well as to some of the best restaurants and bars in Berlin. The accommodations are roomy, with all the necessary conveniences -- my family especially likes that many apartments have two bathrooms. Irritating loud tap/buzzing sound from safe first night. Told staff in morning, they said they would fix it. Arrived back after a full day out and not resolved. Couldn’t leave window open at night as broken. Took long time for hot water. Only one pillow. Not all bad, as location ok.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Zarenhof. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The location is awesome with shops, bars and restaurants close by and trams 1, 10 and 12 and U Bahn line 2 right outside. The apartments may be a little old and tired but that didn't detract from a super stay.

I would stay here again. Very close to transport. It felt like a safe area - quite busy. Room was spacious and cleaned well every day. I think it could have been hoovered more Photos of room prior to booking were accurate.

On our trip to Berlin we stayed at Palacina and it was amazing! The apartment was so clean and beatiful and had all possible amenities right in front of the building. Very central location and the staff were very helpful and reachable at all times.

My family and I just moved to Berlin and our first stay was at Palacina. From the start, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They availed all the needed documentation. The property is in a very nice neighbourhood with alot of play areas for kids. The checkout was also stress free. All in all. Highly recommented.

Our visit to Berlin wouldn't have been the same if it was not for Palacina. Extremely welcoming and it deserves a 5 star for the amenities and the layout. Housed all that one could need: a well equipped kitchen with all the latest gadgets, enormous clean bedrooms with very comfortable king size beds, bathrooms are almost palatial and clean, spacious dining area and lounge. Diane and the staff were v helpful. If you’re used to traveling in Europe and know how to navigate a city this location can’t be beat. It is close to three different u-bahn stops and the major bus lines - and yet it’s still quiet. Highly recommend.

Stayed here as a couple, though with a couple more single duvets you could have comfortably fitted in two more people (it was two single beds together with a massive topper, plus a normal queen/king sized bed). Spacious apartment in a good location near public transportation and a small shopping center. One of the bedrooms has a very small double bed. The hosts are not really available.

Great location, close to the underground. Quiet place at night if your apartment has windows located to the backyard. The apartment needs some good cleaning in the corners, and specially the kitchen and the beds.

The room was great! The only problem was with the check-in: we were not notified about the digital check-in before the arrival and it was impossible to choose Ukraine as a nationality on the check-in website
