The hotel is kind of old and the included food was not great. Breakfast buffet better than the dinner. Only internet in the lobby and nearly no data service on my phone - not the hotel's fault, but the combination leaves you nearly cut off from the outside world. My wife and I have visited this hotel twice in 7 years and we were very satisfied each time 😁. The service is good, the food is delicious and includes a good selection (half board). The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are good - everything you need for a (short) vacation. Only the Harz itself has significantly fewer trees 🌲😕. Recommendation 👍👍

Very nice hotel! The rooms are big and super clean. The breakfast is super nice lots of options, fresh food and very nice staff. We arrived late and they had prepared everything to make our arrival smooth and easy despite the reception being closed.

Top location in the centre of Clausthal. Every target in old Clausthal can be reached on foot. Even Zellerfeld is not too far, but uphill. The hotel room is first class albeit the street noise is heard. Breakfast was super. I can only recommend this hotel.

Overall a good experience. However it is clear the time post corona is hard: Not enough personnel and some of the ecofriendly initiatives seem to ba a cover-up for saving money (which is understood). An idea: Why not hire a Danish intern during the summer time to assist in the reception/bar area? The hotel consists of several complexes that are very well integrated into the old town. The main train station is also within easy reach. Nice swimming pool with sauna, everything is well maintained. Rooms are modern, there is nothing to complain about.

We had a nice stay in Plaza Inn, Goslar. We had two room. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Parking is available very close by. Breakfast was freshly made and plenty to serve. I left personal items in the room. Thanks to the hotel management, the shipment was completed. Meantime I appreciate the communication I received from the hotel, informing what the status was. My wife and I stayed here in January while visiting our daughter. The hotel had been renovated which was still a work in progress and there was a barrier in front of the hotel that made it difficult to find the entrance. Overall, I was happy. The bathroom was new with a large shower. What I was missing were towel rails at the head of the shower, you had to step out of it to dry off. What annoyed me, however, was that my breakfast table, which I had for two days, was suddenly reserved for another gentleman, and I was assigned a cat table with a pillar in front of me. We stayed at the hotel as a group of girls. After some initial "grinding difficulties," everything was resolved to our satisfaction. We stayed overnight here as visitors to spa guests. The rooms are okay, but with emergency call buttons everywhere, they're not really hotel rooms. Everything was clean and generally fine, however, I would expect at least a makeup mirror in the bathroom and dinner from 6 to 7 pm in a four-star hotel. Stayed for 5 nights on a Great Rail Journey's holiday. A modern hotel that can cope with lots of large groups. Very comfortable rooms, good facilities. Self service restaurant food can be a bit hit and miss but generally good choice and value. Helpful staff and located within easy reach of the local attractions.

This was a very nice hotel with beautiful rooms. They offer on-site outdoor parking for €16/night which is the most we have had to pay for parking on our trip. Also, the fee WiFi worked flawlessly in the lobby but kept cutting out in the room which was quite frustrating.

Rom, bed, food, staff…all excellent!

Parking is not free Surprisingly we had to pay for parking at the hotel, when it is impossible to arrive at hotel without a car. I wonder if they wish us to pay extra for using the beds next time ?

Highly recommend! Very good stay, clean rooms, fast service (smooth late night check in), good location good breakfast and a lot of parking spaces. The soaps in the bathrooms was very good, please come back with the brand, I need to buy those back home. Ps, please remove or lower the speedbumbs at the entrance (scratched the under carriage of the car there) doing 1km/h..

Excellent hotel and staff, unfortunately had some rude arrogant guests sat next to us one evening at dinner. This is not a reflection of the hotels amazing service 😊

The staff was friendly and efficient but the room smelled like it had formerly been a smoking room.

The single bed was very narrow. Could have been wider considering that the room was spacious.

You get what you pay for in Göttingen The service was good and the staff very friendly, but the room decoration must have been done 20 years ago. The bed was very hard and I could hear sirens from a near by hospital. The dinner at the restaurant was below par, but the staff was helpful to pack food for take away. The breakfast was below par as well. I guess I got what I paid for

Great value and convenience Excellent value! We came for a stopover on a longer journey, and we really liked the convenience of the hotel with a nice restaurant and relaxed atmosphere. The service was also excellent and very attentive.

The hotel has a classic, somewhat older style. There was no air conditioning in the room, so we had to open the window — but since it’s near a hospital, ambulance sirens were quite frequent and a bit disruptive at night. The kettle and coffee/tea were stored inside the wardrobe, and we only noticed them when checking out — a small sign or note would’ve been helpful. The shower had only a half-glass...

Very nice hotel with an inviting lobby area to hang out in and great restaurant. We were there on New Year’s Day so had dinner at the restaurant and it was pizza night so enjoyed a few delicious pizzas.

Probably my new favourite hotel when it comes to value for money in Germany. IMO opinion it’s hard to find good hotels in Germany that are not too expensive but this one is definitely one! We stayed for one night and arrived early, during the checkin the friendly staff told us we could already take the room before 12 noon. Nice! Then we were told that the breakfast is open from 7AM to 2PM(!!!) on weekends...

Great value for money at FREIgeist Göttingen Nordstadt. The rooms are modern, stylish, and very comfortable. Nice hotel across the street from the main train station. 10 min walk yo the christmas market. Breakfast was nice and filling. Only complaint is I drink a lot of coffee in the morning and they serve a small pot which for me is 1 cup and then yoy have to ask for more. Would be nice to be able to refill on your own.

All evening receptionists wete great. 2 mayor issues for me. 1. The electric receptacles location. I needed to.move night stands to connect devices at night. 2. The toilet was very uncomfortable. Too high and small bowl.
