Hotel Wiehberg in Hannover

It's absolutely inexplicable why it seems the exterior windowsills haven't been cleaned for months. The window frames haven't been cleaned in ages either.

The same goes for the blue-lit partition between the wardrobe and the refrigerator/workspace. It's really well done, but you shouldn't look at the light in the dark. You'll see lots of dried-on liquids there, the origin of which is perhaps better left hidden.

Otherwise, everything worked well. The air conditioning does its best, but it can't cool the room below 22°C on warm days, even though 19°C was selected as the desired temperature (lowest setting). The shower works very well, which is absolutely commendable, and everything else is impeccable.

The breakfast selection is generous and plentiful, and the staff are friendly and attentive. However, there seems to be absolutely no willingness to allow overnight guests to take their breakfast with them as a packed lunch. They weren't even willing to give a guest a piece of aluminum foil so they could wrap up their own sandwiches. I've never experienced anything like it in all my years here—unbelievable. Breakfast is included in the room rate, by the way, and I stayed for five days. Yet, there was absolutely no attempt at accommodation…

The hotel's location is excellent, there's plenty of parking, and the tram stops right outside. All in all, a highly recommended place to stay.
