Very clean hotel located very close to RWTH Aachen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is decent. A perfect value-for-money choice if you are visiting RWTH Aachen.

A convenient hotel to stay for the visit of RWTH Aachen University. 5min walk to the campus and 30 min walk to the main train station.
The service of the hotel is acceptable. The single room had is rather old fashioned and small. The tap in the wash room is loosened. The towel smells not very fresh. Comfort of the bed is not so good.
There is a lift in the hotel even though it is located in an old building. This can be a highlight.

The price is pretty high, but the stay was good.
Probably could benefit from a fridge and a tiny teapot.
The breakfast usually had no eggs, they were all gone.

The first morning breakfast options were replenished when consumed. The second morning, bread, cheese, and meat were not replenished during the 30 minutes we spent at breakfast. The young man working the breakfast bar was quite friendly nevertheless.

Beautiful room with a lovely garden view. The easiest check-in I have ever had. Breakfast was nice and free. Great location.

It's very rare that I want to give a hotel this low a review. But what I'm stating here is merely fact, nothing personal.
It's my responsibility to inform fellow guest to not fall for the seemingly good review and the proclaimed 3-star hotel status.
1. Extremely bad soundproofing, which is the main reason why I'm compelled to give it low review. In the hotel, obviously there are someone else (non guests, perhaps owner's relative?) who stay there as well and played VERY LOUD music with heavy bass in the night (23:00), which is impossible to overhear, let along to sleep.
In the morning (06:00), you hear footsteps from upstairs breakfast room.
2. For check-in and check-out, no one is at the counter despite ringing the bell for many times. Eventually has to call the hotel so someone will "come from upstairs".
3. Bathroom is extremely tiny, which is fine by me.
4. Breakfast options is very meager, which is fine by me. And the people who set up breakfast were nice and friendly.
5. location is indeed not too bad. Restaurant and bus stop within walking distance.

I believe Hotel Baccara is the best place to stay in Aachen. Kind, helpful and friendly staff will always be there for you, and the hotel offers delicious breakfast and great coffee. The rooms are quite clean, spacious and modern. TV and Wifi come with the room and it improves the quality of the time you spend in the room. If you open the windows, you will hear birds singing while watching the green and lively Aachen. Throughout the entire building, you will find art pieces placed on each wall. The location is particularly nice, the hotel is quite close to the city center, the university buildings, and the train station. I wish to thank the lovely people here who made my stay quite memorable. I would definitely recommend Hotel Baccara.

Very nice and clean hotel! I had a great time, the staff was polite and friendly. The breakfast was preeeetty nice. It is pet friendly. The hotel's proximity is close to the city center and the forest. It is identical for tourists and couples like us that want to have a good time! I had a great time with my husband and our dogs.

Good hotel with everything you need included. There’s free public parking outside and the location is ideal for a walking tour to the city center
