Reviews
Expensive for what it was. Internet didn't work in the room. Had to make up our own beds and bring linen down at the end of our stay. Breakfast was good continental style.
Very spacious room (for 4 people, but there were 2 of us), simply furnished, located on the ground floor. Bathroom accessible to disabled people (unrequested), so toilet and shower are in the same place (which is not the case in standard rooms). No soap or cups.
Breakfast included in the price: quite comprehensive but different depending on the day (with or without eggs, etc.) but only until 9 a.m.
Very warm welcome, but we were not systematically offered towels (sometimes we had to ask for them).
On the other hand, a key for nighttime arrivals was provided.
The room was very cold upon arrival, but well ventilated (December 😉).
Don't hesitate to drive back to drop off your luggage (the slope is rather steep!!).
Free parking on the street.
Located quite far from the center of Aachen, and we didn't find a good option using public transportation.
Ineffective Wi-Fi (located in the building next door).
Difficult to get coffee or anything else outside of breakfast (no one to serve it).
The hostel is rather expensive (€100) for the amenities.
The staff is extremely friendly, competent, and accommodating. The clean room is spacious and very quiet. The breakfast is delicious and leaves nothing to be desired. The bus stop is a 4-minute walk away.
