Hotel am Stadion in Duisburg

If I could give 0 stars I would. The lack of consideration for my parties unforeseen circumstance is mind blowing. The unfriendly and unwelcoming receptionist staff was certainly a shock considering an essential part of this type of profession is to provide good customer service. Alongside this disappointing start with the hotel, we were expected to pay for our stay despite our flights being cancelled. Whilst I appreciate this is out of the hotels control, it was also out of my parties control and to expect payment from us despite never having stayed there is quite frankly absurd. I'd also like to add that the reason behind our cancellation is the unanticipated strikes in the German airports, which is certainly not in our control at all and I, quite wrongly, assumed that the hotel would take this into contemplation when examining our case. In hindsight, I strongly believe we got off lightly by not having to withstand a two night stay in this establishment. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone in
future.
