B&B HOTEL Eschweiler in Eschweiler

Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean but lack many of the amenities required for this to be advertised as a 4-star hotel. There is no air conditioning which is baffling to me how a modern hotel would opt to not have this. The room was extremely hot despite only being May. The rooms are very small, and the shower is designed without a door and shaped in a way where it is very difficult to avoid water getting on the floor. It’s just unnecessary to not add an extra door or curtain for the shower. I was disappointed as I have stayed at many Best Westerns throughout the world, and this property fell short of my expectations. I would not opt to stay here again until at least air conditioning is installed.

This Hotel is awful!! The rooms and hallways smell bad. The rooms also are very small(weird slanted roof our 3rd floor side). No fridge in the rooms, parking is a disaster, there are no spaces available most of the time and there are 5 luxury cars there that take up spaces. Last but not least the WiFi is either off for days or running extremely slow. This place is awful, except for a few of the employees.

This Hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel. There is no scenario by any stretch of the imagination this is a German standard 4 star hotel. At the very best a weak 3 star or much more likely and realistically a solid 2 star. These are the reasons:
1) no room fridge
2) only 1 side of the bed has a night stand and the other side is blessed with a chair as the night stand.
3) no aircon
4) the plug socket for one side of the bed is literally just above the place you rest your head on the bed. Other side has no socket.
5) the shower pressure stream is extremely weak. There’s no pressure but feels like gravity is getting the water out of your shower.

On a positive side the chap at the reception was very friendly, informative, and helpful. Kudos to him.

All in all this hotel is just miss advertised.
