Very enjoyable stay. I came with three kids and they had plenty of space to play in the bench corner. Right next to the reception is the children's play corner, which was good to kill time while waiting in the lobby. The hotel is close to the Schokoladenmuseum which is just walking distance from the hotel. The kids love it.

Everything’s fine except the location and access to public transport

Really basic offering. No room service, no food options in the building after 9pm, no iron in the room and none available to borrow at reception. The category of room booked was not available upon check in but no discounts applied. HVAC system unable to cool the room despite being run on highest setting. Wifi access not straightforward.

My wife and I stayed in Cologne for one night and were lucky to meet Simge at the reception. She was very friendly and helpful, even drawing us a small route on the city map so we could discover all the hidden treasures :) Thank you, Simge — hope our paths cross again someday!

The location is close to the riverside, 800 meters from the Lindt Chocolate Museum and 2 km from the city center.
The family room is quite spacious and includes a bathtub.
Amenities such as toothbrushes and shower caps are only
available at the reception.
Drinking water is available in the lobby, but guests need to bring their own bottles or purchase one at the reception.
For a hotel of Novotel's standard, it's a bit inconvenient to have to go down to the lobby just to get drinking water.
Would it be possible to provide reusable glass bottles in each room instead?

I was given a room different from what was advertised. The sheets weren’t crisp and when I escalated it they tried justifying it

The hotel was very clean and hygienic. And the reception was very friendly and the service was also excellent. I would highly recommend booking this hotel.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay. However, for a 4-star hotel, a few additional amenities would have been appreciated to enhance the overall experience. The breakfast was a good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One drawback is the location, it’s a bit far from the city center, which might be inconvenient for some travelers.

Hotel was good near chocolate museum
Rooms are spacious. Fridge in room was not working. Sofa cum bed couldn't be converted to sofa it was broken. Overall good experience staff is super supportive and friendly. With price point it was a value for money

We stayed two adults and a child in this hotel. When we arrived bed for a child was not made and we had to do it our selves since there was just one person at the reception and hotel was quite full. The main bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and towels. However, the sofa-bed was rather hard to sleep on. We liked that our room was very silent because the windows faced the backyard. However, air conditioning was quite a load. Breakfast was very good but gets very busy on weekends. In general, we liked this hotel.
