My favorite charming hotel

Although it on the outskirts of the city it is a lovely, friendly hotel where you are made to feel really welcome. The rooms are kept really clean and well maintained. It is quite close to the University and about a 10 minute walk from the station. You have to walk into the city for food. About a 20 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A haven of tranquility, hospitality and kindness, the owners here go over and above the ordinary. My husband had a stroke while visiting, and I have been well-cared for here. My every need and request has been provided. The wonderful breakfast helped me fuel for my walks to the hospital. Each morning I was greeted as if I were family, and the compassionate care I've received here is second to none. The hotel is spotlessly clean and pleasant with comfy beds and pillows, and my every need has been met. I couldn't possibly recommend the Zollamt with any higher praise. If I could give 10 stars, I would certainly do so. It's such a unique experience to find a privately run hotel with such attention to detail and care for each customer.

A very kind woman gave me a personal tour, walked me to my room, and showed me how everything worked. It was very quaint and pleasant. I had a great stay.

Was my first time to Germany and was there for work. The hotel was very nice and the couple who own and run it gave it a nice Bed and Breakfast feel even though it is a nice full size hotel. I will definitely stay there again if I travel to the area in the future.

Went for a Kaiserslautern game, hotel was a good location for me as about 20 odd minute walk from the stadium and less then 10 minute walk from the train station

They asked if I would like to see the available rooms when checking in. I chose not to and took the first available room which was small compared to another I saw later. Recommend checking the available rooms when checking in if possible. The staff were nice consisting of a couple who own the motel. There is a nice eating area that has a modest continental breakfast. The is a small seating area in the check-in area. Metro station is a 15-20 minute walk from the motel.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy. There was a good selection for breakfast ie cereal, fruits, ham, cheese, toast, sausage, bacon, eggs etc. Good "beans to cup" coffee machine. Shower was powerful and the hotel provided shampoo & shower gel. All in all a very pleasant stay.
