Great Staff, clean. Some beds are small and some showers are small but most are fine. Sleeping in the front of the hotel can be noisy on Friday and Saturday night due to the bar crowds going home. Good breakfast. Great Location.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable room. Close to everything in Old Town. 15 min. walk to train station . Would stay there again!

Very nice hotel, roomy and comfortable. It's centrally located and close to everything. I would stay here again and do recommend it to everyone.
I would like it for them to serve dinner but, they do have a decent breakfast.

Altstadt hotel, Kaiserslautern
Location: 5/5. Located in the heart of the city (downtown). It's a 200 year old building converted into a modern hotel. Main door closes at around 9pm and guests have to use side door.
Rooms: 2/5. Very small rooms. Restrooms are the smallest i have seen.
Food: 3/5. They have a kitchen. Breakfast is served but chargeable 8 euro per person and not that great.
Services: Staff is friendly. I didn't see anyone at reception after 9pm, though I assume that support will be available.
Things to do around: walking distance- Japanese garden, downtown Kaiserslautern
Room cost: varies from 65-80 euro per day.
Overall rating: 3/5, a mid range hotel.

I stay at this hotel very regularly. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and well equipped and the location is excellent. The price is about right for the type, location and standard of hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Kaiserslautern...
