Rooms were tried and needs a revamp but it was clean. Staff could do with taking a happy pill especially the old lady she wasn't happy at all, so miserable. Food was OK but we didn't know what we were having till you got it, no alternative if you didn't like it.

🇬🇧 Just returned from a 5 day break to Rhine Valley & Cologne with Harry Shaw. Lovely clean spacious hotel rooms, food was plentiful. First night we arrived very late check in was swift and there was soup & sandwiches waiting for our arrival of a coach load of guests. Breakfast was self service continental. Evening meal was served to the table with some self service for salad and a lovely BBQ on the last evening. No kettle in room so took my own tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Hairdryer was available & TV if you could understand German never used it as we were too busy out exploring. Had a beautiful boat cruise along the river Rhine just down the road from the hotel. Only negative was there were no shops nearby to purchase food/snacks/ice cream etc there was a couple restaurants nearby however we never used them. There was a Lidl 5 -10 minute drive in a vehicle down the road.
A great holiday thank you Andreas & team for the brilliant hospitality 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Lovely hotel well situated on the Rhine just a little difficult to get around it if you are not very mobile as there are a lot of stairs. There are lifts but some places i.e Restaurant you need to go up or down stairs. Good food lovely staff.

Great place. If I was passing through the area again I would head straight to Hotel Wagner.
The host made us feel welcome the second we walked in the door and set up the sauna for us.

The waiter and the cook made our dinner a great experience too. Brilliant food from the chef and brilliant friendly service from the waiter.

Thanks for a lovely stay.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. We arrived at 22.00 and was served a 3 course meal. The well-being suite was great...and after a day sight seeing was lovely to have a sauna and power showers..towels were provided. The breakfast is continental but enough to go around everyone. Evening is a set meal but I sure if you had dietary needs would be accommodated. We were a coach party of 50. Entertainment is limited but the fancy dress cupboard made a great evening.

Good tourist class hotel. National coach holidays used the Wagner in place of the Kurfurst which has been permanently closed due to the cost of updating its fire control plan with the local fire brigade. Hotel had a stand alone outside lift which helps folk get to their rooms along with internal lifts but not to the restaurant which has stairs that must be used to gain access. Free bar from 9 to 10pm, nightly entertainment from a mature DJ playing popular tunes. Owner/manager spoke good English, not sure on bar prices as I don't drink. Continental breakfast with an evening meal of Soup, Main Course and tiny sweet. Journey from Hull to hotel was18 hours with only 3 stops, not recommended if you don't like long travel times between toilet stops ☹
