Best Hotels in Mainz

I stayed at the Hilton Mainz for a business trip and overall had a good experience, though there were a few issues that I hope the hotel addresses. Right on the river with lovely views and an easy walk to the city centre

The meeting rooms were excellent and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The buffet served during our conference for lunch and dinner was also exceptional

I will always come back to this hotel. It has garage and you are within walking distance to the downtown area. The pillows are fluffy and bed are comfortable. They have a restaurant and bar

The staff knows English among other languages

Outstanding service, great breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating and the rooms are very clean and modern. The location is excellent for walking into the old town and taking in the sights.

Although the location is close to the main train station, there aren't many shops nearby, so you have to take a bit of a detour. Overall, the room was comfortable and warm. The bed was quite comfortable

We had a premium room on 4th floor. Pretty quiet, at this time at least. Free wifi had enough bandwidth for watching some streams. There was a small kitchen with microwave and a capsule coffee maker

Otherwise the room was modern, clean and comfortable! Enjoyed our stay! Staff was excellent and helpful with any inquiry we had!

New facility recently purchased by Leonardo. Up on a hill above the center of town where all the attractions are. Downhill to town but uphill going back to the hotel. But the area seems safe.

The hotel was indeed under renovation. When I went there, they were still working on the ceiling in the lobby. The elevator was a bit shaky, I don’t know if it was because it was also under renovation

The room space was okay, a little cramped for two people. There was a smell because of the new renovation, but it was fine to let it out after opening the window for half a day

Only a coffee pod machine in the room, which isn't ideal for tea (and leaks when you use it for tea), so a kettle would be preferred for this tea drinker

I was truly impressed by the hotel’s structure. Spotlessly clean, with an excellent breakfast and a flawless room. I was pleasantly surprised to find two bottles of Black Forest water (which I love!)

I visit frequently for work. It is a great hotel with nice rooms, restaurant, and parking. Good food options and supermarket nearby also.

The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The attached German/Italian restaurant was also very good

Nice clean hotel just outside the city Centre but not far from the main train station. The room was nice, bright and clean, the amenities were very nice and the breakfast was quite tasty and reasonably priced

Breakfast quality and variety were also good. I just don’t understand why hotels don’t provide slippers. Also, my room didn’t have a fridge

Really good price for a hotel 100m from train station. Short walk into town with plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. We were there for the Mainz v Stuttgart football match and it was perfect

Mainz downtown is far, but the hotel is amazing, good food and swimming pool. Staff very professional and kind.

Sonds silly but I fall asleep to sitcoms and was able to do so/overall it was a pretty cool place to stay

Location is good central to old Mainz city centre and very close to the Rhein river. 1.8 km from station. Rooms are spacious and well kept. One of the better place I have stayed so far

I've stayed here before. It's an easy ride from the Frankfurt Airport to the Römisches Theater train stop and a short walk to the hotel from there. Breakfast is outstanding. Highly recommend.

The location is amazing as there are enough restaurants nearby and a REWE ( Supermarket ) right across the road. The Rhein River is also only 5 min walking away

The breakfast was amazing - covers all the bases, including bacon and eggs and cereals if you're looking for a more American-style breakfast. Rooms are average, but certainly not lacking

Gave us a Good Stay The hotel was clean and the rooms were very nice. Free coffee was an added part. The Wi-Fi was touchy and only good in your room or near the front desk and was the only drawback of our stay

Rooms are dated and mattresses & pillows need updating. However, rooms are quiet in spite of the location, and air conditioning worked well in 36 degree heat. Clean and quiet matters more than modern

Clean property, kind and helpful staff, ample breakfast, and a spacious room. For the first two days, there was a slight smoke smell, which was annoying for non-smokers like us

But the hotel itself is surrounded by trees and there’s a green area. Very close to a bus station, from where you can get to the city’s old town

Attentive staff and good breakfast take the edge off an otherwise unsatisfactory experience. They're doing the best with what they have, and should be commended, but the decor is shabby and could do with modernising.

The location is amazing soon as you get off your train at the Mainz central station it’s right there and there’s plenty of taxis if you need one and plenty of good restaurants

Maybe I have a sensitive nose, but the smell of the pillowcase was bothersome, so I had to sleep on the sofa over my pillow. Other than that, it wasn't a problem and I had a comfortable stay

The room was great, service was excellent but the fact that the elevator wasn’t working and we were on the 4th floor was a bit of a challenge! Since the elevator hasn’t been working for over 4 months it would have been nice to have been given a heads up!

AC would have been helpful during our stay, as it was really hot, but they gave us fans and the windows opened. The street noise gets a little loud with a bar down the street
