This hotel proved very convenient being close to the station and a short walk to the marketplace and old town. Our room was well appointed with a good bathroom, - with nice amenities. The little ‘kitchen’ had a sink, a kettle and coffeemaker plus a microwave and stove. We had a terrace with a view to the cathedral, where we sat with a beer and some sun. The staff were very friendly . The breakfast was minimal but satisfactory. Overall a very good stay.

A great location, across from a large park but easy walking distance to train station and Dom. Larger room with good sized bath with super shower. Had no problem storing bikes. They might want to upgrade television package for guests (nothing but local channels). Breakfast was good. If we return to Mainz we would look forward to staying here again. Bravo to the great staff!

I stayed in a studio room, small but very well designed, with everything I needed: ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, fridge, hob & microwave. I asked for a quiet room, and my room was just that. The front desk staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast offered all that I'd want: cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice and hot drinks. The position is excellent, an easy walk from the main train station. The road configuration is confusing first time around but fine after that. The hotel is close to the main centre, and it was a delight to hear the church bells tolling during morning and early evening. I thought the hotel offered very good value, and was a smart and safe place to stay as a solo traveller.

Through the recommendations of friends we decided to stay here and we were not disappointed at all. There was a hiccup on my part for the after hours check in but luckily for a us a staff worker from Croatia helped us navigate the check in. Rooms are large, comfortable, clean and very quiet. You can even do limited meal preparation in your room. Like a previous comment all staff are very friendly and accommodating. You will not be disappointed by staying here!!

Great modern Hotel with very friendly staff. However, it is said, in the meantime, Guesthouse Mainz and not the Hotel Austria. The rooms are modern furnished, bright and beautifully cut. The house is centrally located in Mainz, Germany, (10 minutes walk to the main train station). Look forward to my next visit.

A very nice, modern and newly renovated Hotel with very friendly staff. Beautifully cut, very bright and nicely decorated rooms. To reach from the train station very quickly ( 5 minutes walk) and from the Hotel to the centre of Mainz is in the evening reach with its beautiful old town is also within walking distance. To only recommend, especially for business stays.
