Kloster Neustadt in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse

An absolute disgrace! My stay at the Neustadt Monastery was a complete disappointment. The rooms are dirty, unkempt, and run-down – the paint is peeling off the walls everywhere, the doors are leaking, it's drafty, and just feels desolate. The description on the website is completely absent; you feel completely deceived.

The staff is unfriendly, cold, and completely unservice-oriented. Complaints are simply ignored, as if they were complaining about trivial things – but the conditions are truly catastrophic. I've never experienced anything like this.

Conclusion: Never again! Anyone who books here is wasting money, nerves, and time. This hotel should be ashamed of accepting guests in such conditions.

An addendum to the hotelier's comment: This review was written on the first day after my arrival and after my first complaint immediately upon arrival, which was completely ignored. With a room rate of approximately €70, it was not to be expected that there was no shower/toilet. Nothing had been renovated, and it didn't match the photos that lured the guests. Another reviewer described these rooms as "dungeons," but I only discovered this after a sleepless night. It probably wasn't that bad, but it shows that I wasn't the only one who had a problem with these rooms. It's true that after a sleepless night and a significant complaint, I was offered another room in the main building the next morning, which was appropriate and fine. The most understanding member of staff was the caretaker, who offered me a coffee early in the morning while I waited sleeplessly for reception to open. I can only recommend that the owner close down this part of the building.
