Hotel Zum Schwanen in Leimen

Very friendly initial contact with the manager on the phone. I have an elderly dog ​​with me, and they gave me a ground-floor room with no stairs! They even gave me a newly renovated double room for single occupancy at no extra charge. When I asked if I could use a refrigerator for the dog food, we agreed that I would bring ice packs, which they would freeze for me. When I checked in, the junior manager was extremely helpful and told me they had put a refrigerator in my room! How sweet! They even brought the kettle I ordered! Thank you so much for that; that made it easy for me to get the dog food! I immediately paid the agreed-upon amount over the phone in cash. There was a small seating area outside the room, so I could have breakfast in the sun. I really enjoyed my stay there. The bed was comfortable and the room very spacious. Yes, it's on a fairly noisy street, but with earplugs and closed windows, it's quiet at night. I stayed there for four nights to visit my husband at the Schmieder Clinic, which is only a 10-minute drive away. I'd be happy to go back, and I definitely recommend it!

Our room (three beds) looked as if it had been recently renovated. The room and bathroom were very clean. There is no minibar, but there is a fully stocked refrigerator in the common room (for a fee, of course).
Everything is plentiful at breakfast.
Although the hotel is located on a main road, the traffic noise at night (30 km/h zone) is tolerable.

Good beds, limited breakfast. Great as a transit hotel. In the village there is a good Greek where you can also eat German dishes.

You wont go far wrong staying here, the rooms are massive some with balcony, close to hockenhiem, speyer and Heidelberg all with in around 20 min drive.
