The hotel room was basic and the floor uncleaned (breadcrumbs, hair etc.) when we arrived. Asking it to be cleaned took two attempts before it finally happened. The shower had some black spots on the joints between the tiles that I don’t want so speculate about. The breakfast was classic and offered a standard variety of cereals, bread and further. Unfortunately, it was clearly visible that at least the cucumbers must have been pre-cut (completely dried surfaces). All in all, this might have been a great place in the past, but currently especially the cleanliness and customer service are below standard.

The hotel meets all criteria for a pleasant stay, with comfortable beds, good breakfast and very friendly staff. Upon check-out we ran a bit later than the 11am deadline, but the reception person was totally cool about it. The rooms are clean, bathroom is properly equipped and the staff are very helpful in terms of pointing tourists to various attractions.

Although clearly catering to a much older crowd (seat in shower, mechanical "sit-up" beds, and high seat toilet), it was clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast in the morning.

Nice and friendly. Physical surroundings a bit worn down and cleaning not top notch. Good breakfast buffet, but rudimentary restaurant and bar. Would have been nice with more full service as hotel is outside walking distance from city center for most.

We were with 4 people (55-64 years) during our Bicycle Tour in the town of forest hotel.
Our comfort room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the view from the room was a beer garden in the direction of. (Very messy).
The Breakfast was up to the bun ( we were in 5 Hotels, the most bad. Crispy. ) OK.
Bicycle riders should know that the Hotel is approximately 1 km, is located in the top location.
Bicycles can be parked at night in a closed garden house. Positive.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the price is good, and there is a decent-priced restaurant on site. All services are provided in german and english.

It is located on a hill, around 3 km from downtown (Porta Nigra), which on one hand is good since it is calmer, but the closest bus stop is 400m away, so you eother have to walk up the hill a little (of you take the bus), a lot (if you don't), or have a car/taxi yake you there.

The rooms are nice and clean. The TV has two channels in english (CCTB and BBC). There were some minor problems. There was some 'lag' in mt TV, so I couldn't watch it. My showerhead was dripping a little, and I didn't manage to make the safe worl by myself, but I didn't ask them to fix or help me with it, since it wasn't something necessary for me. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms, so it can get a little hot during the day, but opening the windows was enough for me. The WiFi works fine.

Overall, a good deal, specially regarding the price (it was way cheaper than the other hotels when I booked it). I would prefer somewhere closer to downtown, since I mostly walk when traveling, but if there where no other decent-priced hotels, I would definitely come back.

Very good night, in a huge room, super bathroom, and a breakfast opulent. Very quiet and silent, very good bedding, good home... the only downside, the rain that prevented us to discover the beauties of Truces, and restaurant menus are only in German... A hotel to recommend!!!

Clean and nicely furnished rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast is great and also at the "Hotel Bar" (if you can call it that) had in the evening a good selection of drinks.
