Hotel Amadeus Dresden Neustadt in Dresden

When I arrived at the hotel, I received a warm welcome and was happy to have made a good choice. But beware, the scam trap had snapped shut. I was immediately offered an upgrade; after all, the staff said I should feel comfortable there. However, upon entering the room, I found an unpleasant surprise. It was a room facing the street (I actually wanted to be in the backyard). Inside, there were stains on every piece of furniture, on the walls, and on the carpet. A pungent perfume smell from the carpet mingled with stale smoke. The entire furniture arrangement made no sense, with no outlet or lamp near the bed. The bathroom was spartan but clean. It lacked some love. It felt like a cold, white room. Unfortunately, there was also some mold on the shower head holder and a cracked pane of the shower screen. Only the bed was clean and comfortable. The rest of the hotel is also very run-down; the closer you get to the kitchen, the stronger the kitchen smell becomes. The breakfast was okay, except for the juice, which tasted like it was in the refrigerator. Sausage that was back on the buffet the next day and developed a brown crust. Cucumbers were slightly stale one day. Otherwise the breakfast was good, tasty rolls, everything was there but the quality wasn't that great and the food wasn't presented very well. I didn't eat in the hotel that evening. The general condition of the hotel is run down, which is a real shame as the problems could have been quickly resolved or improved with timely repairs and good housekeeping. When I complained I received no help or apologies. The hotel employee just looked at me and didn't react. A younger employee at least wrote down the problems. But nothing happened.

We were given a room that was nothing like the one shown in the hotel's photo gallery on Booking. It was unreasonable to spend the night in that room. Unfortunately, we were unable to be offered another room as the hotel was fully booked for the Dresden City Festival. The room was very worn, the mattresses were torn, and the walls were very dirty and grubby. To top it all off, this room contained the internet router and a tangle of cables for the entire hotel, which emitted a constant humming noise. We don't think that's standard hotel practice. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and a bit annoyed, but they did find us another hotel.

The room wasn't completely clean. Wi-Fi is supposed to be free but you are only able to access it if you specifically ask for a password. Even then it barely works. Breakfast was okay but nothing more. We took dinner in the hotel as well and it was terrible. The food was bad but the service worse. The waiter doesn't seem to be capable to count and speaks only German.
The hotel is situated on the wrong side of town and is to far removed from the old city centre. If you have a room on the street side you constantly hear the traffic. For the experience I had it wasn't worth the money.

The staff is nice and friendly, but then that was it. Last Time instead of the booked room in an Apartment in the next house. The posted Wi-Fi, it was not, because there are next to the house no Wi-Fi.
The fridge in the Apartment, unfortunately, defective. Since all the Windows have layers of from the Afternoon in the blazing sun in the morning, the curtains drawn. The staff has opened again, so that I in the Evening, almost spoken in the heat.
The Restaurant/the Breakfast room is in the basement. This is in spite of the vaulted cellar, morning already almost unbearably hot.
Overall, the price/performance ratio is not right at all. In DD, significantly better Hotels, yet cost less.

Such a dirty Hotel I have not yet experienced. Even after several times the shower was not prompt, it is possible to clean our room. On the furniture you can write very clearly : "the Pig". Window you can not open as in front of a loud road noise the own word. The single star can only give the receptionists, they are very hard to the concerns of the guests to take care of. The pity is you can not post pictures,so everyone would be contemplating to get this book house a right impression.... never come back and will not recommend!!!!!!!

Had booked for six Nights , after the first night we wunderden us about the blood-smeared sheets . Claim has been resolved , the next night, the bed , walls and ceiling are full of bed bugs . Approx 50 piece caught and photographed . The whole thing was reported to the front Desk , we got another room . Boss said that something like this had never happened before .Other hotel guests said that they said the room rent. Vermin moved out .
