Reviews
Be careful: The room card is deactivated in a second if you keep it close to phone...
Unlike room 242 on the second floor I stayed in week before, 530 on the fifth is very noisy - closer to the lift, making it busier around the door. The box for the fridge doesn't have an external door, so I had to switch it off to make the room quieter, but the worst of all is the noise from the gym on the sixth floor, namely the treadmill. If someone is running on it, it is impossible to focus on anything like watching TV or working on a PC...sleeping is impossible. The gym is open from 10 to 22, making it impossible to use in the morning, and it isn't quiet for the people on the floor below.
What also maked me crazy is the fact that a lift always stops in the main lobby. It useless and waste of time when you travel up&down from the garage to the room.
Also, I don't get the point at all why access to the sauna is for an extra fee. I don't know how much extra money it brings, but I think it should surely be free for hotel guests accessible with the room key. Especially when the room rate is over EUR100,-. I will try to avoid this hotel in the future, unless it costs half of the current rates. There are many better options in Dresden.
There was mold everywhere in bathroom, serious health hazard if you're not careful.
Longest wait time at reception we had in our trip and that's about 15 hotels total.
Front desk can barely understand English.
Not recommended!
Staff attentive, helpful n diligent. Hotel easily reachable from Dresden Neustadt Trn station. 15mins stroll. Tram svc 3 n 13 goes to town, Theatreplatz.
Lidl, 400m down road from hotel. Netto 700m uproad from hotel. Buying food, bread, milk, drinks, fruits easy peazy. Use a Visa/MC Debit no worries about forex.
I would recommend this hotel. Its clean, room a good size. Layout good..double doors, one into room, a 2nd separating sleeping from foyer/toilet. Card already in main power socket, no need to use one of the room card.
One of the better 3-4stars hotel, I have stayed in.
We had our room on the sauna floor.
The first morning around 06:00, big transporter at our window were really loud, don‘t know if it was for the trash or something.
Next nights a constant sound in the room repeating every hours like a machine/heater.
We didn’t report right away because we didn’t understand what it was. When we checked out, i complained about not sleeping the whole night.
They checked the room and said :“ha yes the heater or something“
So they know but still dare to rent this room!
The worst!
Best of all, there was a bathtub, so I was able to take a long bath and relieve the fatigue of my travels.
Another good point is that there is a shop inside the hotel.
I was able to buy water, alcohol, snacks, etc.
The front desk staff were also very kind. Highly rated.
