Great hotel in the middle of nature. Peaceful environment with nice hikes around.
The spa is great with many saunas and lounge area too!
The restaurant at the hotel was amazing for dinner with good service and tasty meals.

The Schindelbruch Nature Resort is an idyllic resort surrounded by nature. In my opinion, the hotel has grown healthily over the years, places great emphasis on sustainability, and is very stylishly furnished throughout. Natural materials such as wood and stone create a timeless feel. The hotel is very clean everywhere, and the staff is very friendly. The hotel invites you to linger; there are small spots to relax everywhere, including many quiet areas with a forest theme. The wellness area itself is manageable, with saunas that are somewhat older but still very inviting. The feel of a small sauna village with a small fire in the middle has a very special charm. The fitness room is very modern and offers many different training options. The stay is enhanced by numerous courtesies, drinks, small snacks, and tea. The restaurant offered consistently outstanding service, and every course of the meal was always very successful. Breakfast was also plentiful and of good quality. The cozy bar rounds off the day in style. I think, if you read the last 50 comments, you can see that this must be a good hotel. The only truly negative reviews, which I find incomprehensible (e.g., no TV repairs at night, no refunds for broken teeth, and having to walk through the rain to use the sauna), show that the hotel operates at a very high standard at every level. Nowhere are the cleanliness, friendliness, rooms, wellness factor, location, or food criticized—what more could a hotel want? In my opinion, the value for money is extremely remarkable, especially compared to other competitors in this segment in Central Germany (I don't think top-class wellness hotels in the Bavarian Alps can be used as a comparison). My suggestions for improvement: optimize the coordination of reception at the restaurant, and partially modernize the saunas over the next 2-3 years. In my opinion, a full recommendation for people seeking relaxation, wellness, time out, and a desire for nature and hiking in the heart of the Harz Mountains.

A superb wellness hotel in the Harz Mountains. We've enjoyed the large spa area, the excellent food, the superb rooms, and the inviting bar again. Our request for the same room as on our last visit was immediately honored. All the staff are very friendly, and the massages are excellent. Our next getaway at Schindelbruch will definitely be here.

If you are in the right room it will be a 5 star experience. Not all rooms are equally nice though. Some have an odd view (roof or wall of adjacent building), some are next to a heavy door to the corridor which keeps banging, some are next to the housekeeping room and early in the morning the trolleys run back and forth, some are above the kitchen and the smell gets through....
Ask for the main building or the new building - the building in which you will find the restaurants has less appealing rooms....

The hotel, located in the southern Harz Mountains, is an ideal base for exploring the Harz region. Whether you're looking for a hike, sightseeing, or an adventure (cooking class), this is the place to be! The hosts and staff are very friendly and attentive, leaving nothing to be desired. The room we booked was spacious, as was the bathroom. Generally, it's important to distinguish between the main building and the "annex." From the latter, the route to the spa facilities is a bit long and inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the bar also had the right cocktails! Conclusion: Highly recommended and a must-do when visiting the southern Harz Mountains. I'd love to come back and try out the spa area again.

I was there for 7 days and it was a great experience, beautiful rooms with a great view and always cleaned. Good location not too far to anything. Good relaxing place

I have been here for 2 weeks for work. The spa is a great pleasure after a hard day's work. I had the honor of eating the delectable dishes of Eric Jadischke. He deserves a star on the guide Michelin. The hospitality of the hotel staff and the great dining attendantsmake it feel like home away from home. Keep it up
